My friends and I celebrated her birthday this Saturday, and we almost passed by Cha Cha's but so glad we didn't. It was such a great time: great music and a great crowd! All the bartenders were great and Corey at the back bar was super nice and attentive despite how busy it was. Highly recommend if you love dancing and good music!
Service is good and the food is good. Their daily lunch specials are good. Portion sizes are just right for a guy that likes to eat. Environment is nice, you can sit inside or outside. Parking is tough, you have to park in a lot and walk to the restaurant. I have eaten their tacos, quesadillas and burrito in a bowl and all have been very good.
The bar was extremely full but service was quick. There is a small outside area that is covered where you can drink. Lots of dancing and loud music.
Amazing customer service. Food is very good. Bartenders are respectful and just all around great people(i.e Josh). The nightlife is also where it is. Music is always a vibe.
Usually I think Cha Cha's is and okay spot to go to, but after tonight, it's clear that those people are racist. I was denied entrance due to wearing a cute camouflage dress, but this white girl with a camouflage skirt was gladly welcomed in. They also denied entrance to a black man with patched up holes in his pants and his skin was not exposed at all. I will never go there again.
Unfortunately it's one of the few places to dance in the bottom. The security is filled with completely unprofessional members. Not only do they have no problem shoving women, cursing at customers, but I see time and TIME again people of color being turned away for reasons that are otherwise unacknowledged for their white clientele who are escorted right on through the line.
This bar is has always played great music and served great drinks. The vibe is just right.
Reviewing as a lunch spot, never been at night when it switches over to a night club. Good food. Good service. Reasonable prices. Daily specials.
Walked in and took a seat.. Watched one waitress run around to 3 tables seated.. After nobody noticing we were there, we got up to order from the bar.. A waitress came over as we were getting up and I told her we were happy to order from the bar as she was busy. Stood at the bar for 10 minutes. Nobody took our order and we watched the same waitress settle 3 tabs at the bar. So we walked out and went next door where we happily spent our money. Won't be back.
They didn't have very much on draft. It's a lot smaller of a place than I thought. Still, nice decor. We didn't stay to eat or drink though.

The atmosphere was nice music was wonderful had a live DJ energy drinks were reasonable
I only been once but i definitely will be going back. The music was great and the people were fun. They also play a great selection of different genres of music and that's what I like about them.
As long as you're not a d*ck or causing a scene (or a dude trying to dance on the main stage section, in the back), you shouldn't have any problems. Ever since Cha's merged with Society - now the Agave Lounge - partying here has been a blast. Definitely the "clubbiest" atmosphere in Downtown Richmond. Also, see Josh on the bar. That boy is a liquor-slinging virtuoso.
Please go somewhere else. They find reasons to kick you out after letting you in. I was inside and about 15 minutes later I was a bouncer kick out two women for what seemed no apparent reason. Then I saw another random guy kicked out just minutes after he was let in. THEN about 45 minutes being there, I was asked to leave due to my outfit having a hood on it. My $200 fashion forward hoodie was just too much for Cha Cha's! I left without incident, but felt like things could have gone south very quickly. Please don't go until this place gets cleaned up.
Good vibes, Cool place. Happy New Year.
