First time customer a week ago, just an excellent operation, the food, service, and atmosphere were all outstanding with that authentic, family feeling. I’ll be back any time I’m in RVA! Thank you!

The food here was pretty decent. Especially for the price. The Caesar salad dressing was very salty but the balsamic was very good. The pasta special was awesome and the garlic bread was a nice plus. The problem was the service. Our waitress, she never said her name but she had a brown bob cut, was curt and unattentive. She came to our table twice, only for our food and drink order. She never brought out our garlic bread order and we had to flag down the host to bring our order because he was the only other staff member to check on us, which wasn't even his responsibility. He also refilled our water and apologized for the service. I would certainly come back here as long as our waitress did not serve us again.

First off, I’d like to say I’m disappointed to be writing a not so great review. This is a local spot near my family’s home that we have enjoyed since moving to the area. When friends and family come from out of town, we always want to take them there. However this past Saturday the service was not great, and we aren’t sure if we will be back. Upon arriving around 6pm, the restaurant was busy but we were seated quickly. It took a while for the server to even acknowledge us and bring us waters. I ordered a coke which did not taste right for some odd reason. When we asked for bread we were told we had to place an order for our main course before being served bread. I’ve never been to a restaurant that has said this… we also asked for the bread multiple times, and they kept saying it would be right out however it never came. At one point our waiter even said he needed to confirm our main order with the chef before he could put the order in for the bread. We decided to order a Salad, Pizza and Pasta. Everything came out at the same time including the bread. When we told the waiter we would have liked the salad and bread before the main course- his response was, “sorry I’m short a bartender.” After we were upset about the timing of our food, our original waiter refused to come back to the table. He went out of his way to send another waiter to the table for the rest of the meal. When we finally got to eat, the salad was just ok. The pizza and pasta were good, I thought the pizza was very similar to New York style so I was happy about that. Just not great service.

This place is not cozier casual. Food is okay. Overpriced. Customer service is too busy to serve you entry level service. Junk wine. And they will not serve you after 9:29 p.m Even though they're open 10:00. Make logic of that.
