Went here on Saturday March 7th around 7:15pm and the building was closed. My husband and I met a man outside and he was telling us why the restaurant closed early. After talking for about 5-7 mins the man we were actually talking to was the owner. He went inside to check with his staff to see if they were able to turn everything back on and cook an order for 4. We got inside, placed our order and had great conversation with Lou while we waited. Our order was correct and piping hot. Everything was so tasty and seasoned very well. The special sauce was great too! Very glad we were able to get served. This food hit the spot! We will definitely be returning.

We stop here for lunch. Food was great. Sauces and seasoning was spot on too!! Told the owner that they need to sell the sauce sepertly (house sauce can go on everything!!)
When ever im back in Richmond, I will try to stop by again!!

If you live anywhere near this place, I envy you. This is some of the best fried chicken and jambalaya I’ve had outside of New Orleans. 8 Chicken Strips, Jambalaya side, mozzarella sticks, and a sweet tea for ~$25 plus tax. This is easily two meals.
All of the flavor is amazing. Chicken is well-season and not dry at all. Breading is crunchy. Special shout-out to the Jambalaya, which ACTUALLY tastes like Jambalaya.
I’m only in the area for work, but if work brings me nearby again, I’d be happy to come back by. 😋

I ordered the fish platter
The fish was very small with macaroni and cheese. Don't mind paying just was looking for bigger portions for the price. The food was good tho

Save yourself time and a headache. Worst service ever!! Waited almost an hour for our food. We finally had to cancel our order because it was nowhere near ready. I was assured I would receive a refund on my card. Over a week later and no refund. I’m now filing a dispute with my credit card and will file a complaint with BBB. Horrible and dishonest establishment.

Hell yea!!! I’m new to Richmond. Just here for work making deliveries and I chose this spot for lunch. I wanted something I could eat while I drove around, so I got the hot honey sandwich with the Cajun fries. Took about 10 minutes. Food was cooked freshhh. I went back inside to get my food ready to get back to work. Main I sat in my seat and opened the tray. lol the food looked so good all I could say is hell yea. lol. The pice of chicken was a very decent size. I tired my car off and walked back inside because there was no way I could eat that while driving. It was delicious. The owners are kind. And I’ll be back

A true local gem. Place is clearly family owned and tucked away in a corner. You’ll wait a bit for your food, but that’s because it’s prepared fresh and clearly with love and skill. Chicken was perfectly seasoned and tender. Mac N Cheese was a religious experience. My only regret is not living local so I can experience the his place regularly.
