If your not eating here every day your messing your life up the Luca and the pastrami with Swiss are in my contenders list for the best plate in the city I don’t know if the oven runs on magic or what but this place is killer the service is all ways really top tear and it’s a local spot so your helping out your local small time shop legit the perfect set up. Now stop reading this and go get their food asap

This is a basement or step down establishment, with a sort of grotto type feel. Historic and "alternative". We had the Ruben (very good) Dogwood (very large: so thick you can't get it in your mouth), chicken salad (messy but tasty and large) and tuna (pretty traditional, nothing very unique but solid and a lot of it). Served with good pickles and utz chips. Prices were in the $15/ sandwich range. Nothing super fancy but a good solid bet. Conveniently located near the VMFA.

When I walked in, I was greeted by a warm and friendly server and a cozy, hole-in-the-wall atmosphere. The sandwich I ordered was generously portioned and delicious! I’ll definitely be back.

They aren’t joking when they say they have the best Reuben in town! We also ordered Italian Sub which was excellent. I really like this place but be warned that it is not a place to stop by for a quick bite - the kitchen is tiny and this place is very popular. They have an extensive beer list to enjoy while you’re waiting on your food. Despite being extremely busy our server was attentive and made sure to keep an eye on our drinks. This would be a great spot to catch up with a friend and grab some drinks!!

I came looking for the best Reuben in town according to reviews. What I got was anything but, dry and stale bread with barely any 1000 island dressing on it, next to a bag of Utz potato chips. My wife ordered the panini which was a grilled soggy white bread sandwich. All of this mediocre food for the cool price of $40, stay away if you're looking for half-decent sandwiches.
