Staff is always nice, usually pretty girls working the bar and they are friendly. They have the Vienna beef beef franks which have that just right snap and you can get a NY style Sabretts. Great stop thru for a beer on a nice day, quality dive vibe and pricing. Random hot dog pictured…

I went to City Dogs on Monday (9/1) with two friends. When we arrived, we were the only people in the place. We ordered food and drinks from the bartender, (Kim) and everything was fine at first.
As more people came in, I started chatting and making friends with them (two different groups, about 4 people total came in plus my 3 so 7 people total at 9pm — one of whom I already knew). To keep the energy up, I decided to order shooters for everyone.
When the bartender wasn’t behind the bar, I jokingly called out “bartender” in a playful manner because she wasn’t even behind the bar to hear me say it but the server on shift apparently took offense to that and told the bartender I should be cut off for being “rude.” That made no sense, since I wasn’t being disrespectful — I was just trying to have a good time and keep people engaged.
What’s even more confusing is that I still had a full beer in front of me. If I was “cut off,” why not take the beer you gave me The whole situation felt unfair and poorly handled. Instead of creating a welcoming environment, the staff made the night uncomfortable and killed the vibe completely.
Definitely not the place to go if you’re looking for good service or a fun night out
To make it far I still tip $20 on table to prove a point and was so frustrated I didn’t even want the food I order and wanted to throw it away because of the amount of disrespect I felt

Was all around very impressed. Love hot dogs and they have almost limitless options. Our waitress was a sweet as it gets and the whole restaurant is set up for a good time. They even have a smoking/vaping patio so you don't have to stand on the sidewalk. Definitely a younger crowd but very welcoming. They were even doing a trivia game. Would highly recommend.

good spot, and the kitchen is open till 11! burger with egg on it was REALLY good. cheeze fries were decent. solid 4/5 first time visit. easy in and out. bar and 2 sides for seating. dogs are cheap too

The food was very good. I don't know if each hot dog was 3.99$. I think you get 2 for 3.99$.
Just left, went and sat on the patio at 745pm.. no one came to take our order, so at 8:00pm went to the bar to place the order , 845 no food , the service is horrible, I guess they just don't acknowledge the black people in 2025, smh...

The lady who took my Togo order (young black lady) was very nice but my food was horrible! The fries seemed like they were stale although I picked up my order 8 mins after calling and my hot dogs were inedible I didn’t take but one bite the outside was rubbery like it was made of plastic and the hot dogs tasted horrible, I’ve had Vienna sausages that tasted better. These hot dogs reminded me of the lunchable hotdogs from back in the day. I had high hopes for this place and could eat a hot dog everyday but I unfortunately will not be returning. I’ve had better hot dogs at my Job and that’s a nursing home

5 stars for the past 50 visits I have had to this divey sports bar. 1 star for the most recent visit. Please tell the staff this is a sports bar. When game 7 of the NBA Finals is on, that game should be on almost every TV and the volume for the game should be playing. At tip-off there was 1 TV on with this game and Love Island was playing over the restaurant speakers. That’s embarrassing. The staff also reacted to MANY requests to remedy this with comical rudeness, as if a on-demand show that airs 6 days a week was more important than a peak live sporting event. Game 7 of the NBA Finals. Game 7. The manager should have anticipated better and the staff should have reacted better. One table came in and left once they saw what was happening without even ordering. I’ve been coming here for 10 years, bringing friends and tons of business, but now will have to consider Hometeam Grill.
