So, let me tell ahyu bout my first visit to Curry's. Nice lil cozy spot with a husband and wife power couple cheffing it up. Wife from Guiana and Husband from Jamaica. They have poetry night the 3rd and 4th Friday of the month and karaoke on Thursdays I believe that is what he said. On to the food. Food was BANGING! If you haven't tried them yet, you missing out. Dem oxtails were so damn good and juicy with a different type of flavor and spice that I had to walk back to the restaurant to talk to the Guianese chef to tell her how good dem oxtails were and that she knew that I knew dem oxtails was NOT Jamaican cooked but deep West Indian juicy flavor and saucy saucy like us VI people like it. Nothing against Jamaican spots. I love ahyu too but dis here hit different. Thats all I gon say. The fried plantains were soaking in its flavorful juices keeping it juicy and soft like I like. The sorrel drink was hitting too. I going back for the curry shrimp. Please go get you a plate. I am new to VA coming from Ohio and this will fo sho be my island Caribbean spot. You know you good if I posting a review because I neva does post reviews. Too busy but I had to pause for dis one here. Lol

If you haven’t tried Curry’s, you’re missing out! I don’t know what’s my favorite the crispy cups or the plantains! Everything is delish, rice and peas, curry chicken, salmon, cabbage and the mac n cheese. I recommend the curry chicken crispy cup with mac, curry rolls or a stuffed plantain!

They also have a bar and outdoor patio that’s decorated nicely. They have heaters out there and sometimes a DJ!

I’ve also been to their food truck a few times as well!

No answer when I called, couldn't get inside, everything is boarded up. Where is the entrance? Online says they are open and I've walked around trying to get inside and cannot.

We had been trying to get here for a couple of months and then it magically worked out yesterday. We came here because the reviews were great and they did not let us down. We will definitely be back.

The food is definitely a 10 out of 10. Highly recommend the Doubles and Saucy Shrimp Crispy cups. Had the Curry Shrimp with fried rice for an appetizer. All was delicious. The owner came out and spoke with us for a bit. It’s a family run business with flavors representing Jamaica, Guyana, and Trinidad. The flavors are amazing. The food was delicious. Ended up taking some to-go as well for lunch tomorrow. Highly recommend. One of the best meals I’ve had in Richmond, probably the best actually.

i have never devoured anything that fast. my sibling got the mac n cheese and my dad got the curry chicken and they were both super good but the oxtail was actually unbelievable. possibly death row meal. i am still in heaven from how good it was. plus there was great music playing, and amazing service, the lady who served us was super nice and she helped my sibling sample a ton of stuff and the mauby and sorrel drinks were so interesting and tasty -- if you like complex, unexpected flavors they were very lovely and yummy. overall perfect restaurant, i will be craving this and coming back!
