Absolutely horrible. The chicken was undercooked on every order I got. How can you have one job and not do it correctly. Chicken was overcooked burnt but raw!?! I emailed and never got a response back. The grease taste like it’s burnt and old as well. My ex said it was better because he was working here but apparently he quit and the service went with it along with the quality. Beware you will most likely get nasty chicken and the employees think it’s funny but I work hard to enjoy a good meal yet I have been dissatisfied multiple times here.

10/10 — Fast and Friendly I had a fantastic experience grabbing takeout here. The food was ready early, tasted delicious, and was still piping hot when I picked it up. The service was excellent; the person at the register was so kind and helpful, and the facility was very clean.

Dave’s Hot Chicken in Short Pump is absolutely delicious. The chicken is perfectly crispy, juicy, and packed with flavor, with heat levels that actually deliver without overpowering the taste.
Every bite is satisfying, from the seasoned fries to the soft, buttery bread that pulls everything together. The quality and consistency really stand out.
The only small downside is that I wish the loaded fries came with more chicken pieces, as the flavor is so good you definitely want more of it.
On top of that, the staff is friendly and keeps things moving even when it’s busy. If you’re a fan of hot chicken or just want an insanely good meal, this spot is a must-try in Short Pump.
