I was visiting some relatives in Richmond VA and found Einstein bagel shop in the Libbie shopping center Off of Broad Street. The restaurant was super clean and the employees were super nice and attentive. The bagels were fresh and soft!! I highly recommend it.

So. many. things. wrong. One time I ordered and told the person I wanted the bagels sliced. She didn't type it in so it wasn't on the screen. I told her again. She's says okay. Then she starts putting the bagels in the bags without slicing them so I tell her a third time. Again she said, okay. She then hands the bags to someone that I assume will be slicing them. Nope. Got home with six unsliced bagels. Next up, some of them will just mix all the bagels in one bag. Like be smart. I don't want an everything or onion bagel touching my cinnamon raisin. But even with ALL of that, WHY do you even HAVE a loyalty program if the only way to get points is for the associate to type in your phone number when they NEVER ASK FOR IT. They just give you your total. You ask how do I input my rewards and they have to back out of the payment transaction to put it in. Like, put a post it on the register. Add a pop-up on the screen for them to ask before totalling your order. Change your payment machine to make it easy for the customer to put their number in, or, I don't know, TRAIN THEM TO ASK!

First time here and overall a great visit! The service was quite nice, clean and friendly environment. I had the twice baked hash brown which wasnt what I expected but it was delicious! The country gravy bagel was also a nice surprise when I thought bagel, I thought it would be tough like a bagel but to my surprise it was soft and tasted great! The only let down was the strawberry banana smoothie, it was a smoothie at all just like a slurpee way too much ice it had the right flavor but not a smoothie texture at all. Restaurant was empty but looked clean, except the restroom could've been tended to not sure if the urinal was clogged but it definitely was flushing. For a first visit though I'd go 4/5 stars! It's somewhere I'll like to explore the menu a bit more!

Very disappointed about my experience here. I drove all the way from Fredericksburg to pick up a dozen Green Chile bagels, called them in 2 days before! When I arrived they had no record of my order and offered to give me the 5 they did have in the case. The baker came out and said he would make them for me and apologized.
I thanked him and told him I would return a bit later. The manager that was there did not look or speak to me but instead only an associate and the bakery as well.
I then called multiple times over an hour later to make sure they were ready and no one answered the phone. I gave up and drove back to Fredericksburg empty handed.

They did make me a bagel for free which was very kind, but I realized later on that they were not even green chile, but diced up jalapeños. That is not the correct recipe and I have no idea why there was no green chile on my bagel, but poorly chopped jalapeños.

This is not my first bad experience here and I’m just very disappointed it continues to get worse. I worked for Einsteins many years ago and this is not the standard they should be upholding.

This was my first time visiting an Einstein Bros. Bagel location, and unfortunately, my experience fell short of expectations. The store itself appeared tired and in need of upkeep. The hard surfaces, including the signage and windows, would greatly benefit from a thorough deep cleaning. The overall presentation of the shop didn't feel inviting or well-maintained.

The staff mirrored the ambiance of the store, appearing tired and disengaged. The employee who assisted me seemed burdened with even the basic task of gathering the 6 bagels I ordered, which made me hesitant to ask for anything additional, such as slicing the bagels. I’m not sure if slicing is something I needed to request specifically, but the lack of enthusiasm in the service left me feeling like a bother for simply placing an order.

As for the bagels, they were as expected in terms of flavor, though they were smaller than anticipated. It’s not the end of the world, but it did feel a bit underwhelming compared to the brand's reputation. A 20oz bottled Coca Cola was $3.49 which seemed steep.

They have a little jar with mini bagels that are intended for dogs, this is a fun little concept

Overall, this visit didn’t live up to the standards I associate with Einstein Bros. A little more attention to the store's cleanliness, a refresh in the energy of the staff, and a clearer or more proactive approach to customer service could significantly enhance the experience.

Best service I can get anywhere. They make a great latte and it's always ready quicker than anywhere else. The employees are always kind.

I placed an order for one dozen bagels to be picked up at noon. I was told the store would be open until 2PM. I arrived at 1150 AM. The door was locked. There was a sign on the door stating the store would close at noon. There was staff inside. When I knocked on the window, the staff shouted they were closed an refused to open the door.

Slow service. Folks working here seem very unhappy. It’s a shame. I remember when Einstein’s was a more fun experience.

This location is cursed I'm pretty sure. Every time I go in there they have staff that are barely with it and struggling to get even the most simple order correct all while yelling at each other half the time. Today I went in and got a half dozen bagels, took them home, they are undercooked and doughy, flavorless and tiny. Why is it I can get a actual Einstein bagel of good quality at the bakery section of Publix, but I can't at the source? I called to complain and they don't even bother answering the phone. The inside of this place looks like they filed chapter 11 and are just waiting it out. There used to be shelves of nice drinks and fruit cups, etc. It's dirty and sad in here with basically no seating and I'm sure has no oversight as there were literally a bunch of 17 year olds standing around today. Not bothering with this place again, it's been too many times at this point. Get it together or close! Or sell to someone who gives enough of a crap to run it correctly. And pay your employees a fair wage so they aren't an entirely new staff every time I come here who are incompetent. Making a good bagel is a skilled labor!

The bagels were excellent. The service was abysmal! There was no one in the store and the staff looked like they were sleep. No greeting, not even a good morning. I said good morning and refused to continue with my order until she responded in kind. The store itself seemed very dark and unwelcoming. I will drive out of my way before entering this venue again.

So firstly. Terrible atmosphere. Staff is rude and uncaring. Told them I needed a breakfast sandwich and 3 bagels and was given stand-off annoyed energy. Got my bag and went to car, checked and no third bagel. Went back in to tell them they forgot one and she apologized and got it for me but didn't seem to care too much. Got home with my breakfast sandwich only to realize there was no egg...on a egg breakfast sandwich... just sausage and a bagel... like come on. Horrible.
