Just a fun place to be with friends on any given day

The venue itself has potential, but the owner’s attitude completely ruined the experience. She was rude, dismissive, and made us feel unwelcome from the moment we walked in. For a space that should foster community and acceptance, it was disappointing to be treated with such open hostility. The goth scene deserves better than this kind of gatekeeping energy.

Find somewhere else to go.

I don’t know what’s worse — the overpriced drinks or the owner’s attitude. Walking into this place felt like stepping into someone’s bad mood. The bar itself might’ve had charm if the owner didn’t suck all the air out of the room with her arrogance. She acts like she’s doing you a favor by letting you spend money in her establishment. Newsflash: hospitality is part of the job. If you can’t be bothered to treat your patrons with a shred of decency, maybe it’s time to hang up the apron and let someone else run the place — preferably someone who understands the difference between “edgy” and just plain rude.

Plenty of better spots nearby. Save your night and skip this one.

I am an entertainer and Kinkster from the Florida scene. I moved to Virginia a few months ago. The only info I recieved online about gaining a membership was to come on a non-membership night. I live 2 hours away and work fulltime M-F so thats tough to do - Saturdays are my only nights free. Finally made it out to fill out a membership and was told i have to come here regularly as a non member until im vetted by a local. Feels unnecessarily gatekeepy. This is my third attempt since you guys wouldnt let people in without a vax card despite not all states requiring it nor never mentioning it on your website to give me a chance to prepare and get the shot. I literally drove hours out of the way of my roadtrip just to visit this venue. I'll take it for the energy it is and I'm moving on. I hope this venue becomes more welcoming in the future

Busy night, only one bartender and it was hard to keep everyone served but she did a good job. Didn't love the beer selections but they had 1 sour I like. Like that the band area is close to the audience ie: no barricades keeping us xft. away Overall cool place and I'll be going back. Didn't eat there but food smelled good!

I really enjoy this small venue some of my favorite bands come here often and it makes me happy I also see the same people each time I go to see bands so it's nice seeing friendly faces.

Used to take my wife here, she’s goth and I “had a phase” once upon a time so it was fun for a bit. We always see people taking selfies, photos of one another, etc on the dance floor. We have never been on “those” nights IYKYK where photography is prohibited, we’ve never ventured “behind the curtain” lmao. However; one night I’m filming my wife dance to some goth tunes on the dance floor COMPLETELY ALONE and an employee rudely comes up to me and yells demanding I stop “for the privacy of others” and I quickly realized they pick and choose who their rules apply to when I saw the same employee taking pictures of their friends (with unsuspecting people in the background) the very same night. Weird. Now I’m looking at other negative reviews and seeing this behavior isn’t uncommon.

Went to the Goth Karaoke event for the first time, and the woman checking us in was horribly rude. We asked a simple question and she was sarcastic and mean. Every time we walked passed her to go in and out, she scowled at us like we didn't belong there. The rest of the staff wasn't much better.

We arrived practically when the venue opened at 9pm, and when we went to sign up to sing, they told us we wouldn't be on until midnight. We were stunned because the place wasn't that packed yet. Apparently they allow their regulars to go up multiple times before they let new people go up once.

We waited for the chance to sing because not many karaoke venues offer alternative songs. After waiting for 3 hours we were informed our songs weren't even an option. Apparently "goth karaoke" means pop punk and Taylor Swift, the same garbage that's at every other karaoke venue.

Thanks for the huge waste of time! We won't be back!

A Queer Richmond Institution! If you love dancing, strong drinks, and an ambience befitting a fallout shelter, you'll feel right at home here. Check out their social calendar online for specific events.

I love it here and everyone else on staff has been wonderful but the person with bangs at the front desk is always so needlessly rude to the point of being awful to interact with. Genuinely made my friend cry and had me reconsidering whether or not I should ever go back. We were nothing but nice to her and she treated us like garbage. Idk if it’s because our group was mostly POC but she needs to get fired.
