What a hidden gem in an unassuming location on the Boulevard! The tower is a must-try, the sushi was incredibly fresh and delicious, and the uni was the best we've had in Richmond.

If you are gonna charge $9 for a NA beer, it better come in a glass.

Our drink order took a very long time to be taken and we didn’t receive them for at least 20-25 minutes. We placed our order for dinner which again took an inordinately long time. While we were eating we were told we needed to hurry up and finish because we had exceeded our time limit. Your inefficiency of getting our order out was not our fault and we were made to feel guilty. Our server was incredibly inefficient. We won’t be back. There are too many great places and this isn’t one.Osaka is so much better.

The food a restaurant was fantastic. The only issue was I made a reservation for 5:30 pm using resy and the host told me that they don’t accept resy reservations and that I had it on notify-she was nice enough about it but seemed a little annoyed, my friend and I had to wait 20 minutes for a table, but maybe resy shouldn’t be an option to make reservations s at this restaurant if fighting fish is not a “resy restaurant”??

Best sushi in Richmond at a reasonable price. The staff is very friendly and bar is very lively. Would recommend as it has become a go-to date night spot

Went on a Saturday night with a reservation, walked in and was told by the hostess we'd need to wait for her to take the takeout orders of some guests who walked in as they were standing around the table we were assigned. The table we were to be sat at was adjacent to the front door and was very close to where people who had ordered takeout were standing and waiting for their order. Throughout the entirety of our dinner there were people standing over us, conversing, and it felt very overwhelming and ruined our experience at the restaurant. In my opinion, that table should not exist and/or the takeout system for this restaurant needs to be heavily modified.

While this did overshadow the rest of our experience, I will say the food was fantastic and some of the best sushi I've had in RVA. I would love to come back and recommend this to friends/family but I'm honestly a little worried about being seated at the same table.

Not a lot of space but very cozy. Food is delicious! 2 hour limit but understandable to allow others in. I have and will return again and again.

My wife and I had an incredible anniversary dinner at fighting fish! The hostess was the absolute best and made our night. Food was excellent and on their recommendation we wound up at Goldfinger next door for a nightcap and some sultry live jazz. Thank you!
