Asian restaurant in a neighborhood that looks as if it's been down and is on the way back up. Friendly, helpful staff, reasonable prices, vegan options. Food was good, service too. Stopped on our way north and went back on our way south. Recommended

Wonderful experience all around. The food was absolutely amazing. Highly recommend the salmon crab bake roll. OMG!! Our server Jenny was wonderful. She was attentive and helpful, and the atmosphere around 2:15pm on a Wednesday was just the way we like it, relaxed and peaceful.

The rolls to beat! From left to right: the cowboy roll - savory steak and shrimp tempura, mild flavor, very satisfying. Next, tuna love roll - fresh tasting tuna with a citrus aoili, amazing bright flavor, so yummy. Last, was the firecracker roll - salmon with a salsa topping and picked jalapeno, the perfect amount of spice, not too hot, also very fresh tasting. Additionally we got the tuna tacos for an appetizer, which honestly were my favorite, the crunch mixed with the tuna, mango and avocado are amazing. Everything tasted so fresh, no funky old fish and everything had it's own delicious flavoring. Highly recommend!

Fish did not taste fresh, rolls were drenched in sauce. Would not recommend.

A very unpleasant experience. The restaurant was almost empty. We were a group of 10 people, willing to be seated at separate tables, but they told us they couldn't serve us.

I went with my family and were a group of 10. They preferred to lose our business and not sit us because we were too many. We were clear that we were flexible and did not mind splitting the group in different tables. There were plenty of tables available. Still, the waiter preferred not to sit us. We asked to speak to a manager which they said would not make a difference. I understand that if a restaurant is understaffed might worry about serving large groups but we were not in a hurry, nor needed to be all in one table. For me, this is just bad service. Never coming back.
If I could put a half star review for the service, I would. My family and I came in a little after 1pm, and almost immediately the service was hostile. The host said he would not be able to sit us (we’re a family of 8) because our party was too big and they did not have enough people in the back. The lack of preparation was insulting, as well as the consideration. Also, the restaurant was not full; they had at least 5 tables open without reservation. We are visiting Richmond, and unfortunately, did not receive this state’s outstanding dose of hospitality at this establishment. Never in my life have I ever been told I cannot eat somewhere, until now.

Have dined here several times. Food is excellent, the cocktails and mocktails are fun, and service is warm, anticipatory, and attentive. Highly recommend Sweater Weather (seasonal Manhattan), the seafood mac and cheese, and the nachos.

A great place for lunch or dinner. We are there for lunch quite often. Their lunch menu includes a stellar salad, miso soup, and great sushi/sashimi/ roll options, all under $25. The here chef is an over-achiever! Parking has always worked out for us on the Boulevard right in front of the restaurant. I have not been to Happy Hour there but it looks good too. You should try this restaurant!

This was hands down the best sushi I have ever eaten in my life.
My husband and I had a nice date night out, and we got to eat something a little different.
