Place is always a favorite, last visit the odor from the moment you walked in smelled like sewage. Literally like a gas station bathroom that wasn’t cleaned in a week. The hostess did get some air freshener that only covered it up. Great food great service but that made a business meeting a very awkward and uncomfortable experience. Sorry.

I was really impressed with Firebirds Wood Fired Grill. Everyone, there were very friendly, helpful and very professional. The waitress that served us was very friendly and very knowledgeable. The food was great and the restaurant was very clean. The atmosphere was very relaxing. Keep up the great job, Firebirds Wood Fired Grill.

The food is always amazing!

We came for my grandson's 5th graduation with a party of 10. No reservation, they put some tables together and made it happen. Service and food with awesome! They even came outside and offered to take a family photo!

Zach and Nick severed and delivered. The best hospitality around. The food came out fast and they checked and made sure everything came out perfect. Friendly and funny. I will be back to see them!

I have been a loyal customer of the Firebirds at Belvedere in Richmond for at least 12 years, which is why this review is disappointing to write.

The food remains consistently good, but the bar experience has declined significantly due to one bartender whose behavior has repeatedly made my friends and me feel unwelcome.

On May 26, 2026, at approximately 5:15 PM, service at the bar was exceptionally poor. After pointing out that I had a lunch menu and asking for a dinner menu, I waited roughly 20 minutes before eventually getting up and retrieving one myself from the hostess stand. My friend Lou then waited at least 10 minutes just to have his wine opened while the bartender stood loudly socializing with a former employee at the bar instead of taking care of customers.

What made the experience worse was the attitude afterward. When concerns were raised about the noise and lack of service, the bartender loudly made comments to the effect of, “I guess we aren’t supposed to have any fun,” and referenced “the adults sitting at the bar” in a dismissive way toward paying customers. That kind of behavior is simply not acceptable in hospitality.

I want to be very clear that this review is not directed at the manager on duty. She handled the situation professionally, genuinely tried to make things right, and has always been welcoming and attentive.

After more than a decade of loyalty, I never expected to seriously question whether I want to return to a restaurant I have genuinely enjoyed for years. I sincerely hope corporate leadership takes a closer look at what is happening at the bar before more longtime customers decide to go elsewhere.

The worst firebirds I have ever been to. I ordered the 9oz filet med rare and it came out rare and cold in the center. Also the meat just tastes old and low quality. The meat has a lot of fat and silver skin from poor trimming. The other two people I was with had steak as well and was on par with my filet as far as looks, taste and temperature. Not a good experience. Do NOT recommend

We were waiting for the server for a while before we had to get the manager to take our order. Manager smelled like just came off his smoke break. The hostess blatantly ignored us for a while when we were standing waiting to ask for a waiter. They took our appetizer off the bill for the inconvenience. Mind you, it was not busy at all. Half the restaurant was empty. We ordered the special salmon and shrimp and it didn’t come with the shrimp, we had to ask for it. The Philly cheese steak egg rolls were room temp. Extremely disappointing experience.

Donated some gift cards to our school, and had the chance to finally come check them out and the food was outstanding. Highly recommend.

Jacqueline was an amazing server and very efficient! she took great care of us tonight with my lovey girlfriend for a early Valentine’s Day dinner!
