Excellent staff and food!

Mat

I ordered three courses: Mixed greens salad, roasted garlic sirloin (instead they gave me the grilled sirloin, I think my server at the time thought that I ordered the grilled sirloin), port mushrooms, and the seasonal bread pudding. I enjoyed each dish regardless of the inconveniences that I encountered at Fire Bird, I just wish I could say it was smooth sailing.

The table was a bit sticky and had to send back the smaller plate for the bread that was originally at my table because it was not clean. Also, the bread knife that came with it was noticeably loose. There were a few flies that visited my table because of the stickiness of the table. I should have asked my server if they could clean my table before my food, but I did not wish to burden them too much. It was not until later while I was waiting my food order that they gave me another smaller plate. The steak was very well done, not medium well done like I originally ordered, it was hard to chew. There was not any pink. But the steak was still good even if it was tough to eat.

The knife that I was given was not sharp enough, I had a hard time cutting the steak.

I wish they had a different type of bread because when you cut into it, it's quite messy since there's sesame seeds on it. Although the bread is very messy to eat, it is good and you'll probably still enjoy it. I had to box the bread because I rather not create a bigger mess trying to cut into it and eat it.

My dessert, the bread puddling, the plate that it was served on was visually not clean and felt dirty so I asked for another one. The bread puddling was in a bowl and the plate was underneath it and that was one that wasn't very clean. Although I sent it back and got a new one, the bottom of the plate wasn't very clean and noticeably sticky.

Although there were small instances that I wasn't entirely satisfied with my time at this restaurant, they still served good food and the staff was accommodating and nice. I made sure to leave a big tip because of that fact. I thought that since this restaurant served a lot of expensive and enjoyable dishes that there would be less inconveniences that came with dining, but like any restaurant, I encountered a few. At the beginning of my order, I was served by Taylor, but then my server switched three times later on. I am not really sure what their names were, but everyone was accommodating and nice. The reason my server changed a couple of times was probably because the restaurant was gradually becoming busy throughout my visit.

I got the baby back ribs with charred carrots and fries.
I also had some of the Philly cheesesteak eggrolls and the bacon deviled eggs.

The ribs were decent, I won't say amazing, but good. I didn't see or smell any smoking techniques. No rings. Not smoke flavor. It's a steakhouse not a smokehouse.

Still is was tender enough and there were signs of fire being used lol. Bbq sauce was brushed on at the very end, like a single layer of paint. No mop sauce. Anyway.

I was with a group of 8, so I saw their entrees.
All steaks are wrapped in bacon. He had to order it special without bacon. I dunno, for me that's just hiding behind the fat. Small steaks, big sides. Honestly my entree was the best priced. good, but don't get the veggies on the side. They're not roasted, just steamed. Reminded me of a thawed frozen vegetable medley from a bag.

I'm just being brutal so that yall can read my words and get an idea of the real.

Deserts were ok. Cheesecake is nothin special.

The interior is nice, very spacious, open area, comfortable seating. Dark/warm. I liked our booth. There's no real theme lol, but it looks classy. I do think there could be better acoustics because people have to raise their voice to speak across the table.

Waitress was really cute, they all are, and they work, scrambling. Busy place. Took like 20 minutes to get refills and so on. They're just spread maybe a tiny bit thin.

Would I go there again?
Probably not, but the prices are fair for most things, but the ribs are the best deal.
Steak was flavorful but small.
Pretty much just decent.

Sat down at a bar table and after being ignored for 20 minutes walked out.

I dined at the Short Pump Town Center in Richmong on Wednesday, 5/23. My experience began by the host rushing to open the doors for me. I am confined to an electric wheelchair which can make opening doors difficult. I had wine at the bar and then went to a table for dinner. Bartender McKinsey carried my bottle and glass to the table and was greeted promptly by Kali who took my order since I knew what I wanted. My Filet Fromage was cooked a perfect MR. I got an order of wings for my roommate, which he throughly enjoyed. Not my first visit nor will it be my last. Thanks for a great experience.

My husband and I went for an early Mother's day lunch last Friday. The staff, from the hostesses to our waitress were so friendly, efficient and accomodating. We felt welcome. I loved my fish tacos and my husband had the smokehouse burger which was good as well. Pricing is reasonable. The outdoor seating makes this a nice, easily accessible and comfortable place to go with nice atmosphere.

This was our second time at Firebirds Grill. The first time was just okay — felt kind of overpriced for the food. But today, everyone in my party left disappointed. My wife’s french toast was soggy, and my breakfast tacos were cold. Service took longer than usual, but we expected that with it being Mother’s Day. Still, I just wish we’d had a better experience here.

We all agreed the food was mid at best. Service was amazing! Atmosphere was great too, we sat out on the patio.
Need a complete review and overhaul of the menu. We’ve eaten here before and the food was much better at that time.

Have not been there is a very long time. Everything was near perfect. Will be going back again soon.

I’m glad I decided to try Firebirds out - friendly staff, great draft selections and the food was cooked perfectly.
The only suggestion for improvement would be having the restrooms inspected more often to ensure that they keep the same high standard that the rest of the restaurant maintains.
I would recommend Firebirds and will stop by next time I’m in town!

My husband and I came for our anniversary and it was our first time here. The service was fantastic, shout out to Amaiah (I'm sorry if I misspelled your name) she was so sweet and very helpful when we had questions about items on the menu. The food was great and omg the drinks were sooo good! The diamond pineapple martini 10/10. It was a wonderful experience and we will definitely go back again. Thank you again to Amaiah! Please thank her for us, we haven't had service as great as hers in a very long time. It's rare to come across it anymore so thank you so much!!!

We've eaten here more than a handful of times since moving to Centra VA in 2023. The service is always excellent, and the food is fantastic (Get the cheesesteak egg rolls appetizer). However, there is gnat problem. No matter the season, we have always found the gnats to take away from the outing. We were there last Friday, April 25, hoping for a gnat-free experience. Nope. I don't get it. Maybe they should sanitize the drains more often.
