Firebirds Wood Fired Grill

When we were seated at our table there was food on the floor that wasn't cleaned up. I ordered a glass of Pinot Grigio which tasted sweet and more like a Riesling. When I questioned the waitress she was annoyed and said it was the Pinot. The salads weren't very good. My lettuce didn't look very fresh and it was drenched in too much dressing. My friend didn't enjoy the tuna in her salad. She said it didn't taste very fresh. The other meals were mediocre. But overall not a great experience for the amount of money we spent.

It took us over 30 minutes to get bread meanwhile people who sat down after us got bread two times before we got any. I ordered the 3 course meal and got the salmon and shrimp. I got two pieces of shrimp... the mashed potatoes were dry I swapped those for the ancient grains. My friend ordered the mashed potatoes with her meal as well and the portion was significantly larger than mine. The chicken tenders I got for my son were small and overcooked. The Caesar salads tasted like dirty water.

This was by far the best meal we had while in Richmond, and the best meal I've had in a very long time. I had the blue cheese steak with Au Gratin potatoes and my mom had the garlic butter sirloin with mashed potatoes and veggies. She had the bread pudding which she loved and I had the lemon cake which was divine!!!! This meal in my opinion was a great value for the price versus what we got. If I lived close this would be a regular spot for me.

The onion rings and the ranch dip were outstanding! I enjoyed being able to choose three sides as a meal option!

My wife ordered the 3 course meal. It was excellent and all she could eat. All the courses were 10 out of 10. The petite brownie sunday was larger than petite by a long shot. I had the full rack of baby back ribs special and a baked potato with sour cream and butter. The last 3 or 4 times I had the rib, they were perfect. The bones almost fell out with no meat attached. This time I ended up having to pick up the bones and gnaw some of the meat off. Before, I could surgically remove the meat and never had to touch a bone. They have the best baked potatoes I have eaten anywhere. The are perfectly baked all the way through.

Slow service, we waited 30 minutes for the waiter to take our order, we ordered muscow mule after 7 minutes they said it didn't have a specific ingredient but my boyfriend accepted it anyway... the mashed potatoes tasted very artificial.

The lobster dip was amazing as always!!! Perfectly prepared! BUT the shrimp and grits was absolutely disgusting and highly disappointing!! No flavor grits were super watery shrimp wasn’t good at all either. Left more angry and disappointed than anything. I always heard that the brunch menu was very good and I do not see it one bit at all. The baked French toast was nothing more than candied bread!! More than likely my very last time ever attending the brunch there. Probably won’t be back for lunch or dinner for a while either. Brunch is a 1 out of 10 DO NOT RECOMMEND. Like I said. More disappointed than anything. Not fulfilling at all. Definitely not pleasant. I could’ve made this food at home and would’ve been way better than what I was served today smh.

Dining Experience was mixed this time around - some good things, some not so good. The positive - on one entree the requested starch substitution made the dish just perfect - delicious flavor with portion size as pictured. Our second entree did have a few positives such as the protein being cooked as desired and the second batch of fries being hot. However, this entree was not as pictured - 1/2 covered in protein, 1/4 fries, and 1/4 salad. What arrived was a minuscule steak and fry portion with the salad being wilted (appeared as child's portion on a full size plate). Server noticed the entree's sparseness and initiated bringing more fries (not steak) to go with the six fries on the plate. After fries arrived another staff member approached to ensure everything was ok; we had not complained or requested a manager so this just detracted from our dining experience. Other misses - requested condiments not arriving with the entrees and slowness getting our meals. Hoping all of this can be attributed to inexperienced/ new staff.

Our server knocked it out of the park and the cheeseburger was ridiculously good.

One of the best dinner experiences I have ever had... Waiter was outstanding and was attentive to the entire table... I brought a cake, and they cut and put the candles on the cake and brought it to the table... Very good choice in choosing Firebirds Wood Fired Grill...

Staff is Evil. “Manager” Lawrence is unprofessional and not suitable to be a manager.

Family gathering last week. #1 This is Sierra. Well the drink came out in a good amount of time and lemonade is 4/5. The wood grilled salmon was grilled perfectly and had a great savoring taste to it 5/5. The service was amazing, overall 4/5. #2, Whiskey, the cocktail was excellent, The Santa Fe burger had an interesting combination of fine ground beef. The flavor from the condiments was excellent. Great taste and value. #3, Juliette, the shrimp salad was basically a portion of bag salad with shrimp scattered on top with a few additional toppings. Marginal. Service excellent as is the restaurant interior decoration.

Our waitress Indy was awesome. She was very friendly and attentive..
the atmosphere, it was hot, maybe the AC unit was broken.
The Double Black Martini was delicious. Food was delicious too.

I visited the restaurant this weekend and I spent my time with my family. I really enjoyed the meal and the beverages. Everything was really good. And the service was splendid. I hope to come back again. Recommend 100%.

I spent my birthday with my husband and kids. I was ordering a meal and was very fast. The attention was splendid. I'm thinking in came back next time. The best of all was the meal was very good. Recommended 100%.
