This is my local bar, so maybe I'm biased, but it is also my favorite local bar. The staff are friendly, the atmosphere is so fun with 90's TV shows playing off a projector and another playing a movie so there's always something to passively look at if you need to distract yourself for a spell, the drinks are well-priced with good specials and some tiki-inspired cocktails. I keep coming back for the fried chicken and the brunch. See pictured in this review the brunch burrito - it is as delicious as it looks. It fed me, and there were some extra bites for my girlfriend to enjoy. I hear the music nights are also quite good, but I like the quieter nights and weekend afternoons personally. If you are in Richmond, come on by, have a beer, have some fried tofu biscuit sandwich, and relax.

Service is trash. Stood in the doorway for a bit until an employee walked by and I had to ask "do we just grab a table?" he mumbled "yea" without a pause or glance. So we sat at the table until he eventually came by with some waters and rushed back off without saying anything or taking drink orders. We left and went to Northside Grill and had great service, drinks and food instead. Dark holes in the wall are my jam but as someone who remembers the 90's, when Richmond was grimey and dangerous, this place just seemed like a bunch of soft dweebs larping as rock n roll cowboys

If I live in the area I would be here often. Food is phenomenal and atmosphere with drink specials.
It can get crowded to a standing room only situation so be prepared.
