Great all around. A tiny bit expensive for what it is but I was expecting that before hand. Still, 5 stars. The food and service were great. Servers were busy but very efficient - didn’t feel rushed to leave. The tables are a little small and you’re going to be real close to the people beside you. That is why atmosphere gets a 4.

Gersi is at the top of the pack if you are looking for a fantastic Italian restaurant in Richmond. Cozy and crowded. Great vibe. There are a few outdoor tables. Definitely make a reservation. The service was excellent and very responsive - extra shout out to Dan, behind the bar, who took care of our every need. The wine list is modest, and perhaps at the top end of pricing, but they do have a selection of some nice Italian reds. Every dish was delicious - and the portions are generous. Their burrata was perfect consistency with great taste. Don’t miss trying some of their homemade pasta dishes - the rigatoni was amazing, and the calamari with black fettucini out of this world!! We will definitely be back! Save us seats at the bar, Dan!

Gersi is hands-down my favorite Italian restaurant in Richmond. The food is always amazing! If you go, do yourself a favor and get the chicken Parmesan, but here’s the pro tip: upgrade the pasta to the spaghetti al Limone. Trust me, the combo is out of this world, a server recommended it to us before and we always get it. Cozy atmosphere, definitely need reservations. It is tight in there, like a NYC restaurant (like you would see in a movie), great service, and consistently delicious dishes. A must-visit!

Oh man, sooooo good!!!!!! We enjoyed the lemon pasta with fresh ricotta (added pan fried chicken), and spicy vodka pasta (added sausage- super crispy and delicious). We also had a few different drinks, all were made perfectly! The atmosphere may be a bit cramped and busy, some say loud, but we enjoy those vibes so it didn't bother us at all! Everyone was so friendly even with it being crazy busy! A great spot if you're craving delicious pasta!

Amazing place, definitely going back!

Food was very meh. The chicken parm came with pasta that paid homage to high-school cafeterias. The chicken itself was good, but the watery sauce/noodles caused the breading to get soggy. Everything else was fine, nothing great.

Sweet quaint little Italian restaurant. The staff is amazing the food is really exceptional regardless of the small menu.

We stopped in without a reservation and ate at the bar. The smell of garlic pulled us into the door. The food was fantastic and the service was wonderful. Every bite was delicious. We can't wait to go back.

Gersi Italian Restaurant in Richmond, VA is straight-up lit. This place is bussin with vibes that are just chef's kiss. The food? Absolute fire. Their homemade pastas are on another level, especially the Limone pasta and skirt steak. And if you haven't tried their vanilla Panna cotta, you're missing out big time.
The atmosphere is skibiddi cool, with a perfect mix of cozy and classy. It's the kind of spot where you can flex your riz on a date or just chill with the squad. The service is top-notch too, making you feel like a sigma alpha.
Prices are pretty standard for a nice Italian joint, with pasta dishes ranging from $17.95 to $23.95 before tax. And if you're feeling adventurous, their kale salad and homemade tagliatelle Bolognese are definitely worth a shot and the chicken parm slaps!
Overall, Gersi is a solid pick if you're in the mood for some legit Italian food in Richmond. Whether you're a local or just passing through, make sure your drip is fire -Gersi is worth checking out! And ask for Erika she’s sigma!

Came here one weeknight with co-workers as we all like Italian food. The reviews for this place were great and making a reservation was easy the same day, just a few hours ahead of time, which kind of worried us, as we figured if they were that good, it wouldn’t have been so easy to get a same day reservation for four people. Well, we were wrong – this place was amazing!

Service was excellent and friendly. The décor and atmosphere was romantic, quaint, and dimly lit. The menu was loaded with so many appetizing items! They make their pastas in-house and they do a fantastic job with them. The chicken parm was really good, pounded thin, but still very flavorful and moist. The sauce was excellent too. Their table bread was accompanied by cannellini beans with a spicy herb dressing, these were incredibly good! They have avery nice wine list too.

And clearly we lucked out with the reservation because by the time we left, they were packed, inside and outside. Definitely suggest stopping in, but make a reservation!
