We stopped in without a reservation and ate at the bar. The smell of garlic pulled us into the door. The food was fantastic and the service was wonderful. Every bite was delicious. We can't wait to go back.

Gersi Italian Restaurant in Richmond, VA is straight-up lit. This place is bussin with vibes that are just chef's kiss. The food? Absolute fire. Their homemade pastas are on another level, especially the Limone pasta and skirt steak. And if you haven't tried their vanilla Panna cotta, you're missing out big time.
The atmosphere is skibiddi cool, with a perfect mix of cozy and classy. It's the kind of spot where you can flex your riz on a date or just chill with the squad. The service is top-notch too, making you feel like a sigma alpha.
Prices are pretty standard for a nice Italian joint, with pasta dishes ranging from $17.95 to $23.95 before tax. And if you're feeling adventurous, their kale salad and homemade tagliatelle Bolognese are definitely worth a shot and the chicken parm slaps!
Overall, Gersi is a solid pick if you're in the mood for some legit Italian food in Richmond. Whether you're a local or just passing through, make sure your drip is fire -Gersi is worth checking out! And ask for Erika she’s sigma!

Came here one weeknight with co-workers as we all like Italian food. The reviews for this place were great and making a reservation was easy the same day, just a few hours ahead of time, which kind of worried us, as we figured if they were that good, it wouldn’t have been so easy to get a same day reservation for four people. Well, we were wrong – this place was amazing!
Service was excellent and friendly. The décor and atmosphere was romantic, quaint, and dimly lit. The menu was loaded with so many appetizing items! They make their pastas in-house and they do a fantastic job with them. The chicken parm was really good, pounded thin, but still very flavorful and moist. The sauce was excellent too. Their table bread was accompanied by cannellini beans with a spicy herb dressing, these were incredibly good! They have avery nice wine list too.
And clearly we lucked out with the reservation because by the time we left, they were packed, inside and outside. Definitely suggest stopping in, but make a reservation!

Racist entrance staff. They treat delivery people badly who are only doing their job of delivering their own food. I saw how they treat 3 delivery people badly, including me, I don't think I'll go get an order from there again. The blonde lady at the entrance is pedantic. They make you leave the restaurant in a bad way and they did it to the others too. I waited but in the end I didn't wait after spending 15 minutes, the application told me to abandon the order, but not before observing everything. I asked one of his very kind HISPANIC workers to be honest with me how much he was missing and he went to see how much was missing and another person came out of the place, a fat male person and ended up scolding him that it was not his problem to continue working. I saw everything and they didn't tell me. Another African-American delivery man was treated worse and left without waiting. They have to train their host staff so they know how to treat people. Your food looks good, but these things spoil everything else. This is my explanation. Has it never happened to them???? Read previous comments and you will see that the situation is repeated with another client. I know what I saw and well I see that he acts blind and does not reprimand his employees. I will not be a customer or delivery, thank you for clarifying in your favor.

Great food! We tried the pasta with lamb ragu and a salad with shrimp. Both were fresh and excellent. Staff was friendly and service was good. I'm taking off 1 star because the entrance door kept on slamming with a loud and annoying sound. Just fix it please!

Great experience, I can see why it's so busy all the time! Definitely make reservations, walk ins will be almost impossible on a Friday or Saturday night. Food and service are fantastic. Muscles and stuffed squash blossoms are amazing. Very hard to go wrong here.
Wheelchair accessibility: There is a small step to get inside, and once in it's extremely small and usually very crowded. There is some cafe seating outside which maybe an option.

As a native New Yorker I’ve had Gersi on my list for a while and last night my husband and I got to experience this GEM of a restaurant. The pasta was incredible, the bread reminded me of New York. The heirloom tomatoes were amazing and buffalo mozzarella delicious. The cocktails were also good I loved my Raspberry 75. My favorite restaurant in RVA !
