Havent been here in a while and since then they've made changes. Within moments of being inside rather then a guest at a buffet I felt like a new hire at a buffet. Being pointed in all different ways, given instructions. When in reality all that needed to happen is let me have my 4 water cups, and let me go sit down with my family and enjoy.

To be on the gerge of a panic attack within 2 minutes is insane and I absolutely will never bring my family back.

Food was mostly good until I got to the RAW GROUND BEEF in the meatloaf!!! Vom. It was so raw, that when I showed my server, she thought that I was showing her chewed up food that I had spit out. I said no ma'am, this came straight off the plate that way. See the pic.

When management was alerted, they brought out the kitchen manager who just stared at it, said nothing, and then grabbed the raw meat wad off the table and just walked off. End of story. No sorry, no how can we make this right, no is there anything else we can do, etc. Just walked off with the raw meat. Am I living in the upsidedown??? Sure hope I don't get salmonella or e-coli.

Had a great lunch today ...best chicken livers in VA! Love the on-going renovations, especially the new fireplace. Looking forward to seeing the completed work. Kudos to Managers T. J. And Fabio for the pleasant atmosphere and wonderful service. We truly enjoy our Golden Corral stops when in the area.

I visited this place on Sunday July 20th, 2025 for breakfast and I still can't believe how amazing the food was! Everything I picked up was delicious and after just one plate I had to go to the car and regroup. I came back for some delicious pinto beans, greens, chicken and gravy, and Mac and cheese all were so good. I love that place, but if they want me to stay in love they need to bring back the Salisbury steak patties in gravy because I could eat those on every Sunday's visit! Please bring back the patties!

I tried Golden Corral today for the first time, $21.50 for dinner. Overall it wasn’t bad, but you definitely need to be selective with what you choose. The pot roast was tasty, and I enjoyed parts of the taco bar (the ground beef, salsa, onions, and sour cream on a soft tortilla hit the spot). The steak and BBQ chicken were solid, and the green beans were decent.

The salad bar was fresh, which was a nice surprise; romaine, red onion, green bell pepper, and blue cheese dressing all tasted good. The mashed potatoes were decent too, mostly thanks to a surprisingly flavorful poultry gravy.

On the flip side, both the dirty rice and Mexican rice were bland, the tortilla chips at the taco bar were disappointing, and the dessert selection looked better than it tasted.

I was initially leaning toward saying I’d go back, but…I got there at 3:21 p.m., left an hour later to go to Kroger, and by the time I was in the Kroger bathrooms, I started rethinking that decision. So take that as you will.

I was really disappointed with my experience. There was no air conditioning, which made it very uncomfortable. The food was not good at all—definitely not worth the price. On top of that, the place was dirty, which made everything feel even worse. It’s just really sad because it could be so much better with a little effort.
