Had a lovely time. Shared several appetizers and a bottle of wine. Food was delicious. Service was outstanding. Perfect for a Friday nite get together.
Wonderfully designed, bright and open space. Service was attentive and friendly, and the food was outstanding. Beware, though. The menu isn't exactly honest about portion sizes. The “tapas” items are definitely full-size appetizers, and the “two small” burgers are bigger than most regular-size fast food burgers. Don't over order like we did. Or do over-order and have awesome leftovers to take home. The portion sizes make the prices a bargain! The whipped feta, birria eggrolls, papas bravas and burgers were all excellent. Creative cocktail menu, too. And killer happy hour food/drink specials. We'll definitely be back!
Amazing food, great atmosphere, easy to find parking, just need to improve on their coffee. They don't serve espresso
Mid -July for Bar Solita. Far fewer people in town because VCU is out. My second time at Bar Solita. Lamb lollipops with a chimichanga sauce that was outstanding. Boursin cheese made with hot honey and feta was equally impressive. Overall the food was great. Service might have been a little slow, but it's July, hot and sticky and nobody moves too fast this time of year. We'll be back.
We had a very fun dinner celebrating an engagement in our family. Cool atmosphere, great selection of tapas and entrees, including plenty of options for the vegetarian in our party, and our server, Kayden, was excellent.
A great find- especially if you're going to the Virginia Rep Theatre! Right across the street! We got several small plates to share and they were good and plentiful! Service was friendly and prompt! Our server Ben was great & kept us on track with our time for theatre. Would definitely recommend and go back!
This wasn't my first time at Bar Solita. Previously, I had a great experience. This time around, the food lacked flavor and seasoning. Our waiter was kind of slow with service even considering the time we were dining. Overall a pretty disappointing experience this go round.
Loved the vibe for my bridal brunch! They were able to accommodate us and we love the chicken and waffles!
The menu sounded great, service was super, but the food was just average, omelet was dry and overcooked, potatoes out of a bag, hard and dry. It was a sad brunch experience.
Grayson was amazing and handled our large party with ease. I can't wait to come back & enjoy the atmosphere again!

Love it.
We had a party of 9 in town to see a show at the Altria. The reservation was set up so well and food was great. We could also walk to the theatre!
Lamb is delicious. Cocktails are perfect!
I had a vegetarian dish, my husband had a beef dish. Both were delicious. Service was attentive. Looking forward to a return trip.
Overall a poor experience. Food was cold and took a while. I had the biscuits and gravy and it was cold and the biscuits were hard. Others in my party received cold eggs. It seemed the food sat around a while after it was prepared.
