This place is truly a diamond. Food was amazing and hot and not overly salty or dry at all. Service was impeccable- our server was attentive, and not overbearing.

Best food i have ever had in my entire life...my boss bought me and some workers lunch..I did t see the mac and cheese on the list but it was the best iv ever had..I had dreams about this food.lol.i dont have a clue how they've gotten the few poor ratings but I t defiantly wasn't the food im thinking maybe they didnt like the price ..I promise you it's weĺllĺll worth the money

The food was excellent - I ordered smothered pork chops with cabbage and potato salad. The wait staff are customer-friendly and listen carefully when ordering. They are a little short handed. And sitting is a little tight in the back area. Overall it was a pleasant visit and good dining experience.

This was my first visit and I love this place. The staff is amazing. They are welcoming and down to earth. You marry that with great food and I’m in love. Thank you for great food and laughs. I’ll be sure to come early next time!!! lol

This review goes to Wen Peppers and I wish I could reply to your review directly but I can not! None of what you said is true and it was not pertaining to YOUR experience at the restaurant! Why would you come on here and half ass write a review (because I couldn’t even understand what you were trying to say) …. on the behalf of another customer? You should have proof read your review before publishing it. I was in Gummy’s picking up an order during this time. The owner was not yelling, they were actually laughing with each other. I’m a regular at Gummy’s and the customer service is always a 10 out of 10! Feels like you are just over a family members house eating!! To anyone reading reviews I would suggest to go to Gummy’s and experience the vibe for yourself! This being a Black owned business has nothing to do with the customer service and Wen you should be ashamed of yourself for even trying to compare the two! Michelle (the owner) is amazing! The staff is amazing and the food is amazing!! I can bet my bottom dollar if anything was wrong, Michelle corrected the issue! Next time don’t try to ear hustle on a conversation that has NOTHING to do with you. Again, Gummy’s is a 10 out of 10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

it was my first time eating at this restaurant me and a friend of mine went there to eat, and my boyfriend joined us later. I ordered a sandwich and my sandwich was good however it was a couple sitting across from a man and a woman African-American. So from the looks of it, I could see when the waitress took their food to the table. They both had two different things off the menu. The man passed his significant other a piece of meat a pork chop Office table and I heard and you can see her face. It was like something wasn't right then laid on he was eating and he kept eating and looking at eating and looking at it then he put it up to her nose for her to smell it. The waitress is the on his daughter,. The woman called the owner's daughter, the waitress over to her table and was speaking to her about something. It was very low so I couldn't hear it, but I know that she was taking food off a plate and putting it on the neck. Shortly after that, another woman came, which I was told she was the owner. She asked her what was wrong and the woman was trying to speak as slow as possible. The owner of Gummies said you can speak you can speak you can speak so I think the woman was making a complaint of myself that she was like it's not wrong with it. This is what the owner is saying it's not the wrong with it. It's not wrong with other people eating it that that person had it. Nothing is wrong. Everything was in the same batch so how was something wrong with your food and she's yelling at this woman so the woman just completely just shut down you could see she was pissed and say no more. Just because eggs come out of the same car and don't mean that you won't have a bad egg. If the customer said the room, the food don't smell good or it don't taste good. It shouldn't have been no debate. The next question should've been how can I help you? She did not address that professionally at all. I know it took everything for this woman to hold herself back because the way she was speaking to her as if she was a child. And this is why Black people business sometimes do not succeed because they don't know how to treat their people.

First time coming today very nice place small family business the food was AMAZING. I love how the menus are on the table under the glass you don’t have to touch it. The waiter let us know their busy and it might be a little wait BUT the food was HOT AND FRESH I will be back

Service was excellent and food was fantastic. I went with a group of about 12 and they were able to accommodate all of us. Staff were very friendly and helpful would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for some good soul food.
