I had gotten so tired of being let down by other places in the area that I was very hesitant, but that sofrito is on and poppin'! Ordered catering for my mom's birthday, and everything was so good! The whole process was easy and they even delivered to us (I fully expected to have to pick it up). Great portion sizes, super delicious, everyone is still talking about the pernil! I definitely recommend them! (we ordered pernil, sweet plantains, arroz, green beans and guava empanadas). Harlem South’s food is always fresh, flavorful, well portioned and delicious! I’ve visited their food truck and I’ve hired them for catering many times, and I’ve always been satisfied. I think it’s almost important to mention that their customer service is top tier. Before finding HS, I was driving 1.5hrs to get authentic Puerto Rican food so I’m very grateful to have this service in my area!

I've had them cater a birthday party and I've picked up food and the food was authentic and yummy. We don't have a lot of options in Richmond, but I would recommend Harlem South, they are kind also and that's always the kind of business you want to support. My son is type one diabetic and we dose for carbs for anything he eats. Marilynn was so kind to share carb details on the empanada discs with us when he was first diagnosed. That is a great business.
