First time trying this place out tonight and won’t go back. Arrived early so I sat at the bar. Ordered a cosmopolitan martini. Absolutely horrid. Had to get up and go find the bartender after sitting there for close to 10 minutes. Asked her if she could try adding some triple sec because the drink was beyond bitter. She comes back a minute later and the drink is even worse. Move over to a table for dinner. Server was fine. Switched to a beer that was fine. My friend ordered a drink. Once again, absolutely horrible. I order the Hog Sampler. Assumed that I would bring home leftovers. The coleslaw was good, the pulled pork was ok. The potato salad was terrible but the worst part was the baby back ribs. I had my mouth set on fall apart ribs. My friend ordered the same thing. Neither of us could not only not pull them apart, we couldn’t even cut them with a knife! We told the server and showed her even by trying to tear the ribs apart in front of her and her response was “Yeah, we had people complaining about the ribs earlier today as well.” So she clearly saw that neither of us had been able to eat even one bite and she then returned to the table with our checks offering no discount whatsoever for the ribs that were literally not edible. At this point, I could have asked for a manager but why? If that is how the servers are, who do you think trained them? The only thing that was truly pleasant was the live music tonight and the company of my friends. Will never go back here again. My bill was $44 after tip and yet I had to go eat somewhere else after I left.
We ordered a Half Dozen Wings, Brisket Nachos, Rack Ribs, Greens, Mac & Cheese, Apples, Corn Pudding, Fried Shrimp Onion Rings, and Hush puppies.. everything was DELICIOUS!
We had an outstanding lunch and the waiter was very informative. This is a go to restaurant for us!

Just like any other BBQ place, the cider was really good though!
Solid A+ rating. Checks all the BBQ boxes. I've been here many times and never been disappointed. Most recently I stopped in for dinner and went with the classic lineup of Baby Back Ribs, Cole Slaw, and Potato Salad.
First off, the Baby Back Ribs are the definition of fall-off-the bone meat. No grizzley waste either, just meat and bone. As it should be. Perfect flavor. I enjoyed every bite. Each sauce was unique and tasty. The Hog Sauce is a sweet compliment to the rib meat. Paw Paw's Sauce was mustard based with a little spicy aftertaste kick. The Carolina Sauce was a bit vinegary for me but I'm sure that's how it's supposed to be.
Just two sides this time, the Cole Slaw and Potato Salad. Both done in classic BBQ restaurant style and done right. The slaw is chunky and fresh tasting and was a perfect match with the pork. It would be excellent on a pulled pork sandwich. The Potato Salad was creamy and delicious and also was a good match with the ribs.
Price of the dinner was fair and I didn't leave hungry. Other standouts from previous visits are the BBQ wings which are actually a thigh/wing combo. Huge! Also my wife really likes their Cuban sandwich. Lots of other choices on the menu too and specials are posted on the chalkboard. Some nights they even have live music. Yet another really good BBQ spot in Richmond.

Great food and service. Ribs were Smokey, and the meat fell right off the bone.

Always delicious. I love the blue cheese burger. We tried the chili cheese fries this time. They were amazing. Husband had the fried green tomato, bacon and I think shrimp tacos. He loved them.
