Ordered take out tonight and it was delicious. Order was ready quickly as well. The hot and sour soup was a bit bland compared to some others I’ve had but still good if you like hot and sour soup! Beef with broccoli was a standout. Haven’t dined in there because it’s right up the road so we opt to eat at home. Given how close it is to us will continue to order from them. Really can’t complain about anything just wanted to give a detailed review. I reserve 5 stars for knock your socks off spectacular but seriously this is solid grub. Really this is 4.5 stars. Thank you to the staff for your service

This is our go to place for Chinese food, however, must have had a different cook. Ordered general tso, they put a lot of red pepper flakes, even though I asked for not spicy. The chicken was overcooked. A lot of hard crunchy pieces, so hard the fork didn’t want to go through. Everything else we ordered was good, but the chicken was not good at all and we ordered it plenty before .

Hunan East is an establishment! It is my favorite go to a spot in all of Richmond for comfort Chinese food! I’m carrying out or dining in, the staff is always so lovely and welcoming! This past time I got the crab wontons, pork low mein, and general Tsos chicken. Everything was absolutely amazing! And the prices are always reasonable.

This has been my go-to Chinese Restaurant for years and years. My kids love their Sweet and Sour Chicken and Lo Mein! For me and my husband, we definitely recommend their General Tso Chicken and General Tso Shrimp. Everything there is so good so don’t hesitate to try Hunan East! The family who owns the restaurant is the kindest as well.

Excellent Chinese food! The buffet is quite good, but anything ordered from the menu is above average of what you might find in other restaurants. The service is also good, and I have found that the employees up front make sure that takeout orders are ready quickly and are always accurate. The only drawback is that the parking lot is rather small and, during lunchtime especially, it is very hard to find a spot. Other than that, the restaurant itself is one of the better ones in Richmond.

Lunch buffet on Thursday and Friday is great! Limited options but taste and quality is good. Wish they had buffet on weekends too and wish they moderated the temperature in the dining room. It's ALWAYS cold!
