Went in for the dinner special. It either is no longer available or I missed that portion of the menu. This location did not have the assortment of syrups that I am familiar with. My server took it upon herself to drop my lemon into my water under the ice instead of leaking the slice on the rim of my glass. I don't even know if see used her fingers to pick up the lemon or if she used the tongs that she was supposed to be using. The dining room was empty but she only checked on me once after delivering my plate.

Urgent: Unprofessional and Hostile Conduct by IHOP Manager — Customer Felt Attacked Dear IHOP Corporate, I’m writing to report an extremely negative experience at your [insert location/city here] restaurant. During my visit, the manager took my order incorrectly. When I politely pointed out the mistake, instead of acknowledging or correcting it, the manager blamed me for their error and raised their voice in an unprofessional and confrontational manner. The situation escalated when another manager joined in and began mocking, belittling, and interrogating me in front of other customers. I was made to feel personally attacked and embarrassed for simply asking that my order be fixed. This is completely unacceptable behavior from management staff, and it reflects poorly on IHOP’s brand. No customer should be treated this way — ever. I strongly urge IHOP Corporate to investigate this incident and remove the manager responsible, as their behavior is unfit for a leadership role in customer service. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

This was my first time at an ihop in the Richmond area. I chose this location because it was the closest. I went and was greeted. That’s a plus. Before I knew it, I was called to be seated.! Less than 10 minutes. My waitress was attentive but busy. I ordered the pumpkin spice pancakes, side of bacon and coffee. The bacon was brought to me cold and I had the young lady take it back. The pancakes were nice and hot. I started to eat the pancakes and I realize something was off about the taste. Granted they’re supposed to taste like pumpkin spice. These pancakes were off. 5 small bites in, I said nope not eating these. I should have given them back to the waitress but I thought just forget it. That’s half my breakfast right there besides the bacon. I left the waitress a tip and I left. When I say from the time I got into the car and about 30 minutes. My stomach started swelling, my abdomen started cramping. The first thing I said to myself, it was those pancakes. The pancakes tasted like they were made with dirty water or stale mixture. I tried ginger ale , tums, water and by 11:30 pm I was still in pain. I will not be going back to this ihop. First experience has left a lasting impression that kept me home and near the trash can.
