I think the food here is great! When I come back to Richmond I would definitely get takeout, but the dine in experience wasn't anything special. I think the interior could be updated/cleaned a little better as well as the service. Our food took a pretty long time to come, but it was worth the wait!

Went late in the evening to get an Island Fry mini meal. I stay 20-30 mins from the Restaurant. When I got home to eat, chicken was bloody in the middle. I called the next day to inform them of the bloody chicken, told them I had pictures of the chicken and that I threw the chicken leg away. I was told to get the chicken leg from out of the trash can , and bring back to them, in order for them to remake or refund. Inspect your food before leaving if not that’s on You.

We were traveling from out of town and stopped to get some Jamaican food- nothing about the meals bought speak Jamaican. The jerk chicken tasted like it was boiled and based with some peppery sauce. The red peas soup was tasteless- the food items included were largely chopped and it was filled with grease throughout, it too was filled with pepper so we didn’t enjoy. I bought a kids meal of chicken and fries. The fork could not go through the outer part of the chicken because of how hard it was. It didn’t looked like it was freshly prepared and my son could not eat it even after stripping the outer part off. The only edible thing from the purchase was the fries. The customer service is really bad as the cashier carry on as if customers are not standing there waiting. I wished I had read the reviews before stopping by here. I would definitely not recommend . Ps: I could only post of pic of the kids meal because we had thrown the others out in the bin across from the restaurant while my son was trying to get through his as we continued our journey.

The worse Jamaican food I’ve ever had! All of our food was made in old grease. Some of the presentation of the food was cute, but that’s about it. The chicken wings they have as an appetizer was okay (definitely had flavor), however even with that either the chicken had been sitting for a while under a light or the chicken was made in old grease as well. Please be careful going here. They tried to force me to pay for food that I didn’t eat and after they removed it from my table.(oxtails & rice) IT HAD NO FLAVOR! I literally ate a small piece and was not satisfied — the gravy for the oxtails was so greasy and flavorless even the oxtails had no seasoning. I guess they have a new chef or something. Mac/Cheese and fries were fresh (kids meal) Majority of the food was hard to eat because it was all OLD; I could not fathom the thought of paying for the oxtails and rice that was the breaking point. Oxtails are already a bit pricey, so to eat it with NO FLAVOR and greasy gravy?! I was NOT!!! After I had to give them a a full summary on why I didn’t want to eat the food besides it didn’t taste good, they eventually let off and didn’t make me pay for the oxtails. Just don’t be surprise if you’re forced to pay for it. I’ll stick with Carena’s Jamaican Grille instead!!! They don’t ever miss! Money is not a problem for me, but to try to play in my face to pay for some old flavorless food isn’t happening! Besides trying to force me to pay for the horrible food, I give customer service 3.5/5. First time there and last.

These wings are AMAZING! Each set of wings was jammed packed with flavor! , there’s more wings that come in the order but i couldn’t resist in eating some before this picture. TOP TIER WINGS!
10 out of 10 hands down!! The Jamaican vibe hits you prior to entering the building because I could smell the aroma from the street! We ordered oxtail and jerk chicken which was beyond flavorful. Rice and peas, cabbage was as well. I asked if they were going to be open the next day because I wanted to come back! That's how good everything was!! Must visit if looking for authentic Jamaican cuisine!

I’m 30 years old an i love trying new restaurants an not only was this the worst experience I’ve EVER had the food was horrible, i ordered jerk egg rolls, the combo wings 3 diff flavors, & the salmon rasta pasta, an a cocktail, jerk egg rolls had no meat in them, but i like egg rolls regardless so i still ate them i give 6/10, pasta very tasteless not horrible just no flavor 3/10, now these wings is where it just gets awful, super fat that was a red flag but i still tried 2 flavors, barely ate those 2, advised my waiter i didn’t like them an to remove them from my bill, another lady comes an tell me because i started eating those 2 flavors that i had to pay for them which was $10, so im like ill pay $5 even though i shouldn’t have had to pay for any of it, they told me no, i then asked for the manager she told me the same thing at this point i told them i wasn’t paying for any of the wings, she asked me what’s with the attitude, mind you i didn’t have a attitude but i def was a little frustrated that’s when she told me i didn’t have to be frustrated i then got up went to the front to pay you kno these people charged me for 2 wings lol NEVER GO HERE.
