Meh. Very cool space that has the kind of seating that encourages you not to linger for long. There was more seating upstairs, but my disability made that a non-option for me. My cappuccino was sour. Not sure if this was the bean variety, the roast level, and/or the grind, but it smelled and tasted sour like a light roast arabica trying to be an espresso. Expensive in the way that all coffee shops in Richmond are. Disappointing experience.
This is our go-to coffee shop while visiting Richmond. Well, many times we’ve intentionally stopped in Richmond, even if a bit out of the way, whenever traveling south… it’s that good! My husband is a latte lover and says theirs is top-notch. I am a tea drinker and the Yunnan Gold is the best cup I’ve had anywhere. It has a full-bodied, malty flavor that is deliciously satisfying. On a road trip up north, we stopped here for coffee and breakfast. The food is extraordinary - try everything biscuit sandwich and pastry you can. Service was prompt and friendly. Only downside was that their coffee maker was broken amd their Americano was a bit bitter. But overall amazing place.
