The this place to definitely about the neighborhood vibe. Unfortunately, the beer selection isn’t great unless you like IPA or ciders. They didn’t have any dark beers and of the macro brews, the only one I wanted was the one they were out of. My wife ordered a cider and it was warmer than room temp. I assume they don’t have room for cold storage, but seriously, if you are going to serve in the U.S., we prefer our beer/cider cold. Preferably really cold. Our server was very nice and very understanding when we decided to leave after complaining about the warm cider. I won’t rule out giving them another try next time I’m in the neighborhood because the vibe and staff were really good.

The bartender, a middle aged Caucasian male served me a drink with a big in it after we made small talk when I ordered my tequila sunrise & patron shot. Once I noticed the insect inside my drink I waited approximately 20 minutes to return the drink, after no response I went behind the bar (where’d I been standing for atleast 30 mins) & gave him the mixed drink. He said you have to get out & i responded I was bringing my drink since it has a bug in it & he just kept saying the same thing so I said ok & proceeded to head out the door he pushed past me to tell the security guard I went behind the bar & needed to leave as I was already going to the door, halfway to the door I realized he said nothing about the refund for the two drinks which I had not tasted either & told him I needed my money back & he said ok. I proceed to go outside & wait maybe 5 mins for my refund then ask the guard to ask for it. He then brings a receipt for a refund for the patron only some show the receipt with two drinks & the guard goes to get him. He says something my gf doesn’t like & they went back & forth so we ended up leaving. I will go back today & speak to the owner hopefully about my refund & his lack of customer service & immature behavior…. I’ve called several times today & no answer. Yet the owner has responded to this review & suggesting I have the wrong business. NOT TRUE. This shows me that the bartender did not report this issue. To me a few reasons customers may not be permitted behind the bar are sanitary & safety precautions, it should have been reported. The bartender may have not be Caucasian, perhaps Italian however that’s not the gist of the review.

Used to be a regular and seen a bartender I frequent, great service. Seen he was carrying the brunt of the load and went to a new employee, totally inefficient and totally rude. I brought to her attention that I was waiting before the customers around me that she served and she said “everybody is”. To elderly to be in those position given the volume. I myself am a bartender and her productivity was at an all time low.

The pizza was okay. The service was mediocre. I asked for plates for my pizza. He acted like he didn't know what I was talking about. My girl asked for plates and he became coherent again. Well she went home with me. I asked for a sauce replacement and he bring me the wrong sauce. Also i don't like the atmosphere. It's too loud.
Terrible service and as someone that lives close by, they are extremely loud and inconsiderate with the thousands of residents that they disturb every weekend until 2 AM.

The bartender/waiter was really wonderful. He was nice and helpful and made a delicious drink. The Big Daddy pizza was delicious. The Philly sandwich is really good as well. It's low-key, and was great following a hike across the river. During the day there is no problem bringing kids. However I imagine the atmosphere may not be as kid-friendly at night.

Excellent Bar. I couldn't hear the game bc was music on, but the tvs are high quality, the atmosphere was amazing and the drinks were yummy. I've been there a couple times. Def be back. Was looking to change up my usual football bar. Ironclad is a great option.

Jay was our bartender and he makes every time we visit a special event. He's friendly, attentive, considerate, and hospitable...not to mention you can tell he genuinely enjoys what he doing..when he sings it's the chefs kiss and nothing compares to a bartender who cares how you feel when you're having a rough day. You can't please everyone but he puts an effort. Can't say enough of how welcome we feel when visiting the Ironclad. Also the food is phenomenal, check out the cheese steak egg rolls.
