Steak cooked beyond recognition. Tuna ordered rare and received well done. Server too busy to do anything about any of it.

The Reuben was great! Wouldn’t change a thing. Fries were good but I would have taken them a little crispier. The service was super friendly and it was a nice place for a lunch.

Delicious food and laidback atmosphere. Brunch drinks were great and prices were reasonable. Friendly service, too. Loved it.

Cozy space, not good for a large group. We had 7 people including kids. Food was ok. Service was below average. There was 1 waiter and he seemed stressed. He wasn't friendly, he didn't like that we let him know we were ready to order, he never checked to see if we needed anything. Our French toast were kinda burnt, fries had a lot of peppers, found hair in kids Mac and cheese. We didn't even bother to let him know as we didn't want to deal with his attitude. We won't be back.

Excellent spot for lunch! Had the Turkey club, pimento burger and French onion soup. The dining area is small but very cute, service was great, and the food is amazing!

We ate at Izzy’s for my mom’s birthday - 5 adults and 4 kids under 5. Seeing our group would’ve stressed me out but our hostess showed no sign of stress. She was so kind and accommodating. We fit nicely into a corner booth. The food was SO GOOD. It took an appropriate amount of time for what it was - made-to-order burgers, salads, and sandwiches. My dad said it was the best burger he’d ever had. I had the cowboy sandwich, one of the specials, and it was incredibly delicious. I would love to go back for brunch.

When I saw online they had Ruben Sandwich I had to try it out. I've eaten rubens all across the country Chicago has some good ones but I must say Izzy's is hands down the best Ruben ever. The pastrami was so much better than any I've had.

Been for lunch twice and was impressed both times. Reuben is outstanding! This will become a regular lunch stop for me for sure.

My first time there and actually first time dining in the city since the beautiful monuments removed. A friend invited me and I wanted to be gracious. The parking is limited and no easy to see parking lane lines. We were early for dinner so tried to figure out where exactly to park ( correctly)Lots of nice outdoor tables ( dog friendly) but too cool to sit out. Maybe add heat lamps? The inside was great. Fun vibe, very comfy laid back. Bring cushion if hard seats bug ya. The server , Ashley, was fabulous. Friendly, knew her stuff, great recommendations from experience, good follow up but not too pesty.. AND THE FOOD.. oh my .. I had The Best Burger ever! Perfect pink! Got the one with pimento cheese.. could bathe in that creamy zesty ooey gooey deliciousness. Next time ( yes.. I will cross the line and go back to the city but only for Izzy's) I will add bacon to that burger. Ashley described the recommended pasta salad as a side.. another great choice if you like pesto. Easy to find and reasonable prices for city dining. Wish I had taken pics but I devoured without even thinking .. did I mention the pimento cheese?? No drinks for us but others around us had amazing looking concoctions .. good atmosphere but a bit loud as tables close.. will go back ( soon)

I came to Izzy's with my daughter-in-law and her sister, and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. All of us ordered the tomato garlic soup, as well as some bread and then we split the Italian sandwich three ways. All of it was seasoned absolutely perfectly and we all commented that we would come back again for the same meal. The only reason I am not giving this place five stars is that I believe the sandwich is too oversized and thus, overpriced for one person alone. I believe one-half of this sandwich might be a 6-inch sub or thereabouts. Like I said, we easily split this sandwich 3 ways. I would have really appreciated the option of 1/2 the sandwich and a cup of soup that could be ordered off the menu instead of the only option being a full-sized sandwich. Flavor wise, everything was perfect right down to the beverages and the service was great.
