My husband and I ordered jerk chicken with a side of collard greens. We threw BOTH meals away. The little we tasted has us sick as a dog. I’ve been throwing up since I got home. STAY AWAY! Oh, and the greens were canned, Glory greens.

Every time I come here I try to give them a chance but I always end up waiting a minimum of 20 minutes for very simple items it’s ridiculous

This food is an embarrassment to Jamaica by far the worst Caribbean food I’ve ever had food has no love. This is like a white persons bad interpretation of the food if this food was ever in Jamaica, the chef would get laughed out of the country.shouldve went to Chick-fil-A

Although very polite the food is not what you expect for $19.22.
The cabbage is watered down and soggy, Jerk chicken dry/overcooked. It was my one treat to myself which I think makes this all the more disappointing

Lets start off with the positive, the young lady at the counter was nice, polite and gave great service. I asked for a small Rasta pasta she said they didnt have small they only have an entree sized portion. I didn't complain I accepted as I have 4 children and what ever I didnt eat one of my 3 boys would. I paid 11 dollars plus tax which was fair for an entree sized pasta with no meat in it. However when I receive the pasta it was in a side portion Styrofoam container. The food was so hot it melted the Styrofoam and since melted Styrofoam is toxic I did not eat it all just off the top to taste. It was literally a small, to go from bad to worse the pasta had no sauce just oil and was not even solid ziti noodles. They were broken in peices indicating it was reheated and might have been more than a day old. For context I got my food in the early afternoon in the Mall food court. It's Jamaican food so there is no breakfast pasta. The Rasta pasta had no onion or peppers but frozen veggie mix of peas, corn and carrots (which I dislike in anything other than homemade chicken pot pie). The pasta was very soft, and oily, it did have a nice kick from the few bites I ate before I discarded it. This was a really disappointing as I only ordered from them to support a small black owned business.

I ordered curry goat, cabbage and yams. My kid ordered curry chicken and rice. Both dishes were flavorful and fresh. The goat had a small amount of bones and there was lots of flavorful meat. I’ve never had goat without a few bones because it makes it more flavorful, so a couple bones didn’t surprise me. The portions were generous and the staff is friendly!

Ordered Curry Chicken. I barely received any chicken and it had no seasoning. The rice taste like boiled water and was over cooked. No flavor. Overpriced. I was very disappointed

Restaurantji Recommends
I've had good food from here twice. My first order was Jerk Chicken with rice and cabbage, and it was delicious, so I returned a second time. I ordered Jerk Salmon and Shrimp with rice and cabbage this go-around, which was fantastic. I've likely been to every Jamaican restaurant in Richmond and the surrounding counties, and my biggest concern is that the food is somewhat overpriced compared to other Jamaican restaurants in the area. I recommend that the owner research the pricing of other Jamaican restaurants and consider the local market. It's doubtful that someone wants to pay $15 or more for mall food.

This place needs to be closed down. I wish I would’ve read the reviews prior to going. The prices are ungodly. This food is not authentic Jamaican food. I ordered the jerk pasta however I got baked ziti noodles with a bunch of vegetables and peppers with spice and it seem like a soup, please see the picture and then my daughter got oxtails rice and peas and cabbage all of that was $38. I should’ve known the food wasn’t gonna be good when she tied that bag as tight as she did, it’s only been about 40 minutes since my daughter’s eating now she’s saying she’s feeling like she’s gonna throw up. She had oxtail she’s young and greedy and ate a few bites and I told her they didn’t smell right I do not recommend this place

The food was subpar I had the curry chicken it was flavorless and the steam cabbage was over cooked and had sugar in it 🤢. The best part of the meal was the plantains and the beef patty.
