Waaaay too expensive, $6.50 for a single scoop!
I absolutely love Jeni's. Before they even had a store in my location, I used to have it shipped to me. Here's the thing, I live well over an hour from the nearest jeni's and all of their cool flavors makes me want to drive up there often to try them. Especially since they don't offer those flavors at Whole Foods. The ONLY thing that sucks or is lacking is that there is NOWHERE for customers to sit or relax while eating their ice cream. It's actually weird because literally every other business in carytown has outdoor seating, even the smaller businesses next door have a table or two. But not Jeni's, which makes no sense. You have nowhere you sit and enjoy your ice cream. After driving over an hour, I'd like to sit and enjoy my ice cream. But oh well.
The flavors are so fun tho. I have strawberry pretzel pie and watermelon taffy. I had originally come up there for the bubble gum, hoping that it reminded me of the nostalgic version of baskin robins, but it didn't.
I tried all of the new summer flavors and they were pretty good. Toasted s'mores is probably what I'll get next time. The marshmallows in root beer threw it off for me.
Love this place despite the lack of seating. The servers are always so pleasant.
I’ve been a loyal customer of Jeni’s Ice Cream in Kerrytown (Richmond, VA) ever since they opened, but unfortunately, that ends today. I’ve stopped by three times in the past two weeks, only to find a handwritten sign on the door citing “closed due to staffing issues” with a new opening time. The second time, there was actually a detective standing at the door, badge visible and gun in holster, not letting anyone in — which was incredibly unsettling and not something any customer should have to experience when simply trying to get ice cream.
As much as I’ve loved your product, your operations and customer care have gone significantly downhill. If you can’t consistently open your doors or communicate professionally, then you’re not respecting the community you serve. If staffing issues are this chronic, perhaps you shouldn’t be operating at all.
You’ve lost a longtime customer, and I’ll be returning to your competitor moving forward. Severely disappointed.
I so love this ice cream shop! Pleaseeeee bring back the white chocolate peppermint!! In winter time.
Fancy (novelty) ice cream, excellent service, sky-high prices (average-sized half scoop servings for two are $20+). Points for non-dairy options but would be nice to see more rotation of available flavors besides lemon bar and Texas sheet cake. Will definitely go back!!
This was my first time here and I was more than pleased! The staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable! This is the best ice cream I have ever had! Great job!!
Always a great spot to get delicious flavors of ice cream
Nice employees, clean environment, good ice cream!
The best ice cream bar ever. The ice cream is so delicious creamy and full of flavor. Get the Brambelberry crunch.
By far my favorite ice cream shop! Once you try Jeni’s there’s no other ice cream that can compare. Every time I travel I search for the nearest Jeni’s shop and it never disappoints.
Brambleberry crisp, Texas sheet cake, and mildest chocolate shown in the pictures.

Alyssa helped us select our choice of ice cream flavor and was very knowledgeable about the flavor types and pairings, she was very friendly and took the time to address our ice cream needs. I had an excellent experience as a result of Alyssa’s kind and friendly demeanor, and the ice cream was excellent. I got the bramble berry crisp and buttercream birthday cake flavor. I am a Jenni’s fan now! I will definitely be back.
The ice-cream was delicious! The place was busy with so many customers, but the staff was quick to get everyone their orders. Some of the staff was not very friendly, could've just been a long day, but they did not have the best attitude. The ice-cream was worth it though!
Best Ice Cream place in town. Seriously, sometimes I'll come here 2 times in one week. They use high quality products. Very gourmet. My favorite flavor combo is the Gooey Butter Cake, Brown Butter Almond Brittle, and Honey Vanilla Bean! Great for a date, or family outings!
Really cute and fun ice cream place. It was very good ice cream but a bit overpriced. It's Cary Town though so you should expect it if you're going here.
The ice cream is absolutely delicious!
