Such a disappointment. Travelling from NY to SC, and looking up kosher options in the Richmond, VA area for breakfast. Jerusalem Supermarket came up first. Out of our way by 15 miles, when we arrived, not opened; 10:15 am. When we did get inside, not one thing kosher! The store was clean and well stocked, just nothing we could buy! When I mentioned to the owner that he is listed under “Kosher restaurant and market”, he just shrugged his shoulders! Well, it’s not the first time we’ve had potato chips for breakfast!!!

It is the best Halal restaurant in the whole state in Virginia that I went to the food is great and the service is wonderful and I love how they decorate the restaurant in their holiday!

It's absolutely my favorite halal supermarket ? . The owner and his children are so kind and warm. The meat is cut when ordered, or they have precut meat packages that were done on site. The meat is always fresh, and the packaging is neat and clean. Prices are fair! They offer halal organic meats, cold cuts, and undied beef! He is always consistent with his meat supply, which is not true for other halal supermarkets.They sell good cooked food and have a grill. My kids love their chicken. The owner is extremely generous. He has a sign that the food is on the house if you can't afford it. His kindness and his generosity makes the 45-minute drive worth it. You can also call ahead of time to put in a meat order for your arrival. I encourage everyone to come and check it out for yourself.

They are cheaters. I asked for goat me he showed me a beef leg and then i said i need goat but he took the same meat and had given i even asked the old man is that goat he said yes. But 200% it isnt goat and we are not supposed to eat beef in our religion and these cheaters did like this. I’m going to file a complaint on the consumers affairs. I trusted them and they cheated me.
A friend and I were at the used bookstore next door and decided to take a peak inside this place. We both ended up with a decent haul of yummy things to try - I highly recommend the Tahini sampler, preserved lemons, whole jarred red peppers and the sour cherry preserves. Prices are not bad depending upon what you get and there is a deli that I'll have to visit on another day. Highly recommend stopping by just to see what yummy things you might want to try to expand your palette.

We went for Shawarma after church and it was FANTASTIC. We were going to take them home but they have a few small tables by the deli counter so we ate there. Everything was fresh and delicious, and portions were generous. $10 for a shawarma wrap and I took half home with me. Bilal was friendly and welcoming as well. Will definitely be going back again. Jerusalem is also a supermarket for middle eastern foods and spices. I got a huge jar of tahini for $8.99 and it is smooth and tasty. Recommended!
