This is a vibeeee. I love the space, it's so funky and inviting and they have free pool, board games, jazz nights, and live artists on different days of the week. The concept of this space supporting the community by having a safe space with only NA drinks and supporting local artists and chefs in their space is amazing. I can't wait to see more from them. Once they are able to serve kava drinks I will definitely be back but the NA drinks they have now are really tasty as well. One of the owners (Fred) was behind the bar and gave us so much great information about the company. Great experience

Came here on a Wednesday night to celebrate my husband and my anniversary, it was not busy as we expected. It's a shame that it wasn't busy because the inside of this place is beautiful and you can tell they have put a lot of work into making it a really nice place to hang out. To our disappointment they did not have Kava drinks when we came, so instead, we got mocktails, these were $12 each. They also had kombucha for a little bit less. We played a game of pool, which you don't have to pay for. We also enjoyed the hanging swings that they have as a seating option inside. It seems like they are still finalizing some of the decor and paintings on the walls. They also have an artist in residence, which I've never seen before. Definitely hoping to come back to try the actual Kava drinks, we were told they would be back in about three weeks. I think once the word gets out about what a nice hangout space they have. Hopefully this will be a fun place to hang on a weeknight or weekend with friends.

Fun new non alcoholic bar/hangout area on Main Street in RVA. I had a NA blueberry mule and it was delicious. Drinks are $7-$15; kombucha on tap is the least expensive drink. They have a pool table, games and a couch/table in the front, and awesome art from a local artist, Tommy Fox. The staff are very friendly! Not serving kava tea just yet though and they do not serve food!

I am deeply saddened by the challenges Fred is facing in opening his Kava Bar. Kava and Kratom hold immense significance within the sober community, creating a positive and nurturing environment. These botanicals have been used medicinally for centuries, and their popularity is steadily increasing across the United States. I reside in St. Petersburg, FL, often referred to as the "Kava Capital," where I regularly enjoy these botanicals. Living a sober lifestyle, like many others, whether in recovery or simply as a choice to avoid the societal pressures of alcohol consumption, Kava bars provide a sanctuary for the sober community to connect and socialize, free from the discomfort and indecency often encountered in traditional bars serving alcohol. Fred if you would like support opening the KavaClub franchise, there are many people, including myself who would be happy to help in anyway we can! BULA!

They are not open now due to a problem with serving kava. I have asked them to change their hours on Google and elsewhere
