Kokee Tea - Carytown Richmond

So yummy :)

I've had bobba tea across several states, multiple restaurants, I have never once been so dissatisfied with any of them, except the one I just had here, It was supposed to be coconut, I didn't taste coconut, it tasted like flavored water, I wanted it with soy milk, which they made sure I paid an extra 85cents, but only poured a 10th of soy milk into the drink. From what I've witnessed, Asian women are quick to paint a black person as aggressive, so I was very skeptical about walking back into their store and complaining and ultimately decided not to, but this was the worst bobba tea I've ever had. The quality definitely did not meet the price.

We ordered 2 milk tea with bubba without sugar ($15) after we got the drinks sugar already added to the tea and they didn’t even tell us that when we ordered then bubba is not cooked inside still hard. We couldn’t drink it and throw both drinks away. NEVER go back and it’s a waste of money

Ordered a strawberry matcha and the strawberry syrup was honestly disgusting and the matcha was extremely watered down. The matcha was barely even green i went back to get a different drink or to see what they could do about it and they only said no refunds or exchanges. If a drink is going to be $8+ I expect the drink to come well made. I literally only took a sip before I tried to return it because it was that bad. Anyone who drinks matcha knows that the color of the drink attached below is clearly off and yet they refused to do anything about it

We have been here twice. It’s a cute shop but definitely not the best bubble tea in the area. The “croffle” took a while to make considering it’s just a croissant toasted in a waffle maker for a little bit. Not sure I would come back since the tea was the main reason we went and we didn’t enjoy them.

Place looks really nice with really interesting looking drinks but when I entered and stood by the register for a solid 5 minutes, no one appeared to take my order so I left. Maybe they are understaffed?

I can't recommend this place enough! The owners are so sweet and remember me when I come in, the tea and boba are super high quality, and there's almost never any wait. I live in Southside and make the drive north of the river just to get tea here!

Boba was DELICOUS- genuinely! Its too easy to screw up Boba and a plethora of shops do-but kokee tea nailed it down to an art. Not too watery or sweet, and my taro had a smooth, creamy and nutty taste to it. Its rare to find Boba that good! In addition to that, the store itself was nice with many products of interest, such as their labubus. On top of that, Andres service was phenomenal! We unknowingly entered at closing time and he graciously took our orders without even mentioning it! A seriously nice guy. 10/10!

My sister and I have been coming here consistently for almost 5 years straight because of how great this place and their drinks are! The owners are a beautiful couple who always remember us and always send us off happy with our drinks and stickers. 10/10 drinks every time and I always feel like I get my money’s worth. I recommend this specific location to all my friends and family because of how great they are!!!

Super cute and small little boba tea shop. They had a lot of accessories and tea options. Friendly staff and good customer service.

Got Georgia on my mind and dream of butterfly with peach. Both drinks half sugar less ice with their honey boba. Both drinks tasted like they were over steeped and then extremely watered down. Couldn't taste the tea or the peach. The boba had a good consistency but was flavorless. Wanted to like it but was disappointed. Maybe it was an off day?
