Drive-thru service here was unbelievably frustrating. The front counter was closed, so drive-thru was the only option, and now I understand why the line barely moved.

I ordered two 3-pack donuts. That is SIX donuts total. This somehow turned into a multi-minute back-and-forth where this old black woman repeatedly asked whether I wanted 9 or 12 donuts, despite me clearly explaining multiple times that I wanted six. When I was picking out the donuts, it even confused even more lol. It was actually hilarious how bad she was at her job.

Instead of listening, I was met with confusion and attitude. It became obvious why each car ahead of me was taking 5+ minutes to order. Simple requests turned into unnecessary arguments.

If basic orders cannot be handled efficiently or politely, customers should not be forced to rely on drive-thru only. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else unless you have a lot of time and patience.

I am a HUGE Krispy Kreme fan. My whole life. I order it for large work events, random team breakfast, and as a treat for the family. This location is HORRIBLE. The busy location in Myrtle Beach runs CIRCLES around this one. Every. single. time. I go to this one it is an eternal wait, the employees are yelling at each other, completely miserable. The lights on the building are all out and never work, and it is dilapidated. I'm so sad I live so close and I now have to choose DD for work events. My order aheads are ALWAYS 15-45 min late.

The last 4 times we've been they've had almost no product. One of those times we bought the last 2 doughnuts. If they want to do business they need to have what they advertise to sell. The employees are really stressed because they don't have any product to sell too. It's frustrating telling the kids we're going to get doughnuts and then they have no doughnuts. It really seems like they're going out of business.

Dirty. Doughnuts sitting on the rack and they are sweeping all around them especially when doughnuts are on the bottom rack?? Seriously clean it up! The floor was horrible. The blonde girl working the drive thru is rude she need more customer service training. Sled if she could help she said no cause she was working the drive thru, not a car in sight. And the doughnuts stale, it’s nice to know now you won’t have dough until the new year. That place has gone down since Shirley retired. We have coupons and can’t use them from fund raisers. Sad shape. Management needs to do an overhaul.

Tried to order donut holes online last night, saw that almost everything was out of stock and figured it was an error. Came here at 7:30am, when one would expect a donut shop to have plenty of donuts. Drive thru was closed. Employee snapped “No.” when we asked if they had donut holes. All of the very visible kitchen equipment was not being used to make new donuts despite multiple employees just standing around. Got one of the few donuts they did offer and it was just fine, a little stale.

GONE DOWN HILL. ANYTHING CREAM FILLED IS MORE LIKE A SQUIRT. Literally a gum ball size of cream. MOST PEOPLE WANT TO BITE INTO THEM AND HAVE CREAM OOZING OUT AND GET CREAM ON THE FIRST BITE. NOT FILL. SELECTIONS ARE NOT GOOD ANYMORE EITHER

My family and I love the original glazed donuts. I have been there five (5) times in the past two (2) months and they didn’t have any glazed donuts. The hot sign wasn’t on doing 5pm to 7pm. The doors are locked. When you go through the drive-thru, they tell you that they have no glazes donuts. One time I went inside and there was only one worker and no glazed donuts. I asked the associate why they said no baker. I just went yesterday (11/29/2025) @ 6:52pm and they were close inside and drive-thru. I come over 40 miles. When I’m in Richmond I look’s forward to the donuts, but my granddaughters and has been disappointed. You try explaining to a 8 & 11 years old why the donut shop doesn’t have donuts. 4906 West Broad St, Richmond, VA 23230 location

On Friday, November 14, 2025 at exactly 9:36 PM, we ordered three Surprise Bags (3 dozen donuts total) through Too Good To Go. My wife placed the order and I went to pick up during the correct time window.
When it was my turn, I politely showed the employee my order on the app and said I was there for the 3 dozen. The employee (heavyset African-American woman wearing the red Krispy Kreme shirt and visor with a du-rag underneath, no name tag) immediately rolled her eyes, sighed loudly, and then turned to the three customers waiting behind me and announced:
“Looks like y’all will be my last three customers tonight… just because of that.”
She said it loud enough for everyone in line to hear, clearly trying to make the people behind me upset with me for having a larger TGTG order. It felt like deliberate public shaming for something I paid for in advance and that the store had agreed to sell.
This isn’t the first time — I’ve picked up big TGTG orders here before and the same employee was visibly annoyed, but this time she took it way too far. I work in customer service myself (a bank) and would never dream of treating anyone that way, especially when someone is literally rescuing food that would otherwise be thrown out.
I love supporting Krispy Kreme and the Too Good To Go program, but this experience left me embarrassed and uncomfortable in front of other customers. If corporate reads this — please remind staff that TGTG customers are still paying customers and deserve basic respect.
Will happily remove this review if someone from corporate reaches out to discuss it.
