Beautiful vibe, amazing food, and good drinks. My only complaint is that it is hot in there. I recommend them.

Exactly what you would expect in a quaint traditional Mexican restaurant in downtown America. The salsa is fire! Maybe slightly spicier than most.
The fish tacos don't look fancy, but they had awesome flavor! The fish is shredded, not battered, and you add you Pico as desired, which is uncommon in my experience around RVA ($17/3 7/2025). Overall, I enjoyed every bite. Thumbs up.

Very dirty place. Tables were sticky, floors filthy, and the bathroom was disgusting. Didn’t feel safe eating here. Never coming back.

Pretty shity place, my family been in there 7 years ago, and we decided to visit it, and you basically get more than 7 year old restaurant without any inside repairs. Princes are really high like for family restaurant,(there pretty good restaurant in my area that is much better and newer and prices are 20% or more lower for bigger plates. They basically charge for everything they have not debatable* tip for 20% of bill, they changed us for chips and guacamole by not saying that they are not on the house, they charged for water also. Our bill for 4 persons was 90 bucks, for me 90 bucks in family restaurant is halarious. Basically I would found much better Mexican restaurant in that area, (I been in one somewhere near Richmond that is extremely good but do not remembered the name of it). So don't really cost it's price and time, only good thing about it is that it located near i-95.

Literally the worst restaurant experience of my life. First of all it was totally empty which should’ve been a sign. The margarita tasted like water. There was no liquor or flavor. I ordered the enchilada supreme and it had a huge tomato wedge on top and some kind of white cheese on it. There was zero flavor pr seasoning. It was the first time I r fever asked to send the food back and try something different. The server snd the manager told me it was my fsult for choosing that and I would still have to pay for it and for anything else o ordered. It was sooooo disgusting. They were rude to us as well. $85 later and full of regrets. AVOIF THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!

I was in town for a work trip tonight and decided to stop by for dinner. I’m very glad that I did, this restaurant is awesome. Great service, prices and portions. I highly recommend stopping by next time you are in downtown Richmond. Cheers!!!

I came on Cinco de Mayo hoping for a nice dinner. The place was quiet, but I quickly saw why. My piña colada was flavorless and watered down. I ordered a side of rice and was given a tiny scoop for $4. When I questioned the portion size, the manager got defensive and insisted I still had to pay. It’s not about the cost, but the poor value and attitude. Gratuity was automatically added at 18% because of the holiday, I didn’t mind, but the service didn’t reflect it. Feels like a money grab and I’ll be supporting other small businesses moving forward.

My family and I came here after a day of exploring downtown Richmond. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. It’s a family owned restaurant so the food tastes homemade. We would recommend this for anyone in the area. I had the tres amigos: “a taco, enchilada and quesadilla.” There are other options if you would like. My husband had the LaBamba steak which came with peppers and onions, rice and beans. The food was flavorful which we appreciated. The kids meals were a decent size for the price. We paid about 70$ for a meal for 4. Check them out if you’re in the area.

Food was very good and that’s about it. I sat for about 10 minutes before even being greeted. I’m a former bartender and server I can understand things when you’re busy but there was only 4 tables including myself. All the employees seem very rude and like they don’t want to be here. Only got checked on once and waited for 20 minutes after eating to even get a check again it was not busy the restaurant was almost empty!

Ultimate comfort Mexican food. Reminds me of the kind of spot you’d go to with your family as a kid on a cold Tuesday school night in the winter. Nice staff and good food. Not fancy, just good honest food.

I love the lunch carnitas. Have been consistently great for many years. Their chips and salsa are always on point.

Mid tacos. Edible sure but mid.

The food had no flavor. The containers were smashed open and the paper bag with the chips in it were in the food. The quesadilla was a joke. Never seen a quesadilla rolled like a burrito. First time ordering won’t order again. Do not recommend this restaurant. Not worth the $38 for two dinners.
