I expect more from Laura Lee's talented kitchen and management staff. Past visits I have overlooked the lack of a listed vegan menu item because the kitchen always made a delicious chefs choice vegan meal. Tonight, when choosing a restaurant to celebrate a family BD, we agreed on Laura Lee's bc the assumption was that I could get a good vegan meal. One person's dietary requirement impacts the decision of the whole party of course. But I ended up with a very uninspired and thoughtless impossible burger. Meatless Mondays at Laura Lee's says the restaurant understands there are people who choose not to eat meat/animal products. So come on Laura Lee, commit to a high end vegan consistent menu item on par with the other dishes. Until then, I have decided, despite my past enjoyable visits, not to take the chance of ending up with a server in the position to have to say it is too busy for the kitchen to throw together even something as simple as pasta with vegetables and end up very unsatisfied after hundreds of dollars spent for the party.

Wonderful local restaurant with a diverse menu. We went for dinner with our son and daughter-in-law. Our choices for drinks and dinner were all very diverse and everyone enjoyed their fare. I had swordfish in harissa sauce which was a new way for me to enjoy swordfish. Dessert was also delicious!

The food and atmosphere were both very good, but at least one of their servers has a habit that I REALLY don’t like: removing what looks to them like an empty cocktail glass without asking. I prefer to nurse most of my cocktails until the ice has melted and I’ve gotten every drop of liquid out of the experience, especially at $15 per cocktail. I get incredibly annoyed when it is taken from in front of me without so much as a by-your-leave. Costs them a star.

I ordered the crab cake which looked good but really didn't taste good. They need to use Jumbo Lump crab meat for the price they charged. Instead it was a brownish mix that left a bad taste in my mouth. I won't be back and wouldn't recommend it to anyone who actually likes crab cakes

OMG please don't go here. Because I always want to find a seat a the bar, which is my favorite place to eat, especially during happy hour at Laura Lee's. Happy hour covers hors d'oeuvres, the soup (mine was home made gazpacho with lump crab meat, only $6!!!), and 3-5 cocktails that are incredible and at a low price.

The food at Laura Lee's is also locally sourced, and that's why it has such a fulfilling and true/real taste. I love the Steak, seafood entree, plate appetizer, oysters, salad, and the trademark Tiger's Eye cocktail!!

Very healthy food with wonderful new flavors for some traditional dishes. The mussels, wedge salad, and pasta Bolognese are some of the best I’ve ever had.

Laura Lee’s is one of our favorite spots in Richmond. My husband and I love coming here to enjoy a cocktail at the bar or to have a relaxing dinner out away from the kids. The service is always outstanding - consistently warm, attentive, and professional. I have a couple of food allergies, and the staff goes above and beyond to make sure everything I order, including drinks, is safe. The food and atmosphere are both wonderful. Highly recommend for a special night out or even just a casual evening with excellent food and hospitality.

Great atmosphere and great service. The food is eclectic and delicious, and the rotating frozen drinks are always fantastic!

Seated in Laura Lees’s rear garden surrounded by fireflies we enjoyed a magical dining experience. Very dry gin martinis accompanied by fried oysters, pasta bolognese jumbo crab cakes made the experience. An unpretentious Forest Park gem not to be missed.

This place is great. It was recommended by several people, so I went and checked it out. The food is fantastic. And I love the atmosphere! This is the perfect place to go when we have nice weather. They have a great day back patio. They also roll the doors up in the dining room. The crab cakes, the fried oysters. We're amazing. I also heard from a co worker that the scallops were awesome. My wife got a pasta dish and said it was one of the best meals, she's had in a long time. Drinks were great to. A few coworkers have also told me: they really enjoy going here for brunch.
