The turkey wings are so good. Mac and cheese needs work. I keep thinking it will get better and it doesn't. It's soggy and not enough cheese. Greens are perfect and the yams are good too. The potato salad is really bad so I learned not to order that. Fried fish and fried chicken are excellent.

The food was awful. The fried potatoes tasted like they were cooked on a very used grill....the rice pudding was just greasey rice with sugar and cinnamon.....the honey Sriracha roll was nasty.....I tasted the liver and onions and it was undercooked needed a knife to cut it....it was tuff..... worst 25.00 ever spent!!!!!!!

I'm sick I'm just now finding out about this GEM! Ordered something simple to see the quality of the food and they killed it! I'll definitely be back for the rest of their menu. She mentioned she was relocating to rt 10 in a month?

I ate maybe 2 bites and a few stops of the tea before I tossed it all. That said, it might fit your exact tastes, so let me tell you why.I got the pork sandwich, baked Mac n cheese and sweet tea.The sandwich comes sauced, and the sauce has so much onion flavor I couldn't taste the meat, and the onion from the couple bites I had stayed with me for hours. For my palette that's not good.The baked mac n cheese was more congealed than cheesy. Not sure what cheese was used but I didn't taste much cheese.The sweet tea was so sweet all I tasted was sugar, no tea at all.The people were very sweet and hard working, though very slow. If you've got time and if the flavors sound more up your alley than they were mine, by all means go give them a try.

This place is a hit and miss sometimes the food is seasoned well and sometimes it's not seasoned at all and then it's too much seasoning on the food.I wouldn't recommend unless you just want something to eat last minute and don't care.Its a nice setting in the inside.Wait is long you have to order inside where your greeted by a non chalant cashier who doesn't seems please to be there. Who brings the food to your car.

I hate to say this, but I will not be ordering food from here anytime soon. The last couple of times I’ve been here, the food was too salty. I had a fried pork chop and shrimp dinner both times. Of course, anyone can have a bad day, but more than once with the same issue is something different. Also, the crust on both the shrimp and pork chops fell completely off the meat as soon as you bit into the meat. I still can’t quite figure that out. The macaroni and cheese was very bland. The fried potatoes and string beans were also extremely salty. Lastly, the rice pudding was very runny.
Been ordering wings from here for the last few months and we can't rave enough about them. The flavor is amazing, without having to drown them in sauce. They have a hint of sweetness to them but just a little. We started to order weekly!The mac n cheese... well, it was a little watery and not too flavorful so we probably won't get again but we finally tried a soul roll yesterday (the chicken, collard and mac n cheese one) it was delicious! Looking forward to trying another flavor. Really wish they would bring back the shrimp n grits one, would love to try it.Service is ALWAYS friendly and helpful. Its so worth the drive out there to order from them!

The turkey wings were pretty good. Well cooked. The gravy was a bit salty. The cabbage and mashed potatoes were ok. The soul rolls are fried after the chicken and sides have been cooked which dries them out a lot. So it was hard to get any flavor from the chicken, greens or Mac n cheese. But the ones with sweet potatoes were good.

Didn’t have neither side item I asked for. ( conveniently waited until after I paid for my food to say they were out of Mac/chz). Waited over 30 minutes before I even went back in the establishment to see how much longer it would be, just for person to not even remember my order and casually say that they put other orders in front of mine…. I guarantee if I was told there was 45 minute wait for my food I would of just got a refund from jump. Won’t be coming back here again…

Ordered from Doordash. Wings were awful and tasted like old grease. Do you guys season anything AT ALL???? Mac and cheese tasted like plain noodles and the collard greens had no flavor at all. Poor excuse for soulfood smh
