Beautiful ambiance, service and good beyond imagination. Organic chicken is melting in your mouth.

Mediocrity in Fine Garb

The Jefferson Hotel is undeniably stunning, and Lemaire’s plating reflects that same elegance. Sadly, the beauty is only surface deep. The food was shockingly bland for the price point. While the appetizers — crab cake and fried oysters — were the highlight, every entrée we tried (filet, salmon, and grilled chicken) lacked seasoning and flavor complexity. All were cooked to temperature, but each felt uninspired, as if the chef prioritized garnish over taste.

Adding to the disappointment, our server’s attire was noticeably unkempt, which clashed with the refined atmosphere. Overall, Lemaire delivers presentation worthy of the setting, but falls flat where it matters most — flavor and professionalism.

The food at Lemaire was excellent, as always. Unfortunately, on this occasion service was abysmal. We didn't even really get to eat in Lemaire because they were renovating the restaurant. We had to take our meal in their second space, a place called TJ's. Very disappointing experience.

While the food is very good, Lemaire is currently using the TJ space in the hotel. That space is incredibly outdated. It will be wonderful when they are back in their own space.

Our dining experience at the Jefferson Hotel was excellent with attentive service, well crafted drinks and excellent food. We highly recommend the experience.

Exquisite. Everything was superb. You won't be disappointed.

Katherine was wonderful, and let me and my partner, who are both vegan, know about everything available, even going so far as to find crackers in absentia of bread. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was great, and the experience itself was enough to have us already booking our next reservation.

At first we had to wait for 30 minutes at our table for a waiter to see us. The food was excellent. The wine was overpriced for a mediocre California wine. The manager did address the initial shortcoming in a professional manner

The Burrata and Heirloom Tomato appetizer, cheeseburger and lemon cheesecake were very good. Our server was polite and attentive. The only disappointment was that TJ's is not as elegant as LeMaire.

We found out when we checked into hotel that the lemaire was on a renovations so we didn't get too early experience the pretty restaurant

Another guest and I ordered the crab cake starter. It was SO salty we weren't able to eat it. It was as if a whole salt box had been dropped into the mixture. We left it on our plate. The waiter should have asked if we wanted another meal given its salt content. He did give us our dessert free.

Very disappointed that we didn't know the actual Lemaire restaurant was closed for renovations and we dining in TJ's restaurant. Since it was our anniversary I was looking for the atmosphere of lemaire. The service and food were excellent. The staff did a great job! We had been to TJ's before so anticipating the different experience. It was an unexpected surprise.
