Stellar kitchen in a beautiful space. I love that you can see what's cooking from any seat at the bar.
Drinks are perfect, especially paired with the best seafood in Richmond. Don't miss out!

We came here for drinks and appetizers for the first time and had a great time. Great atmosphere and oysters. The employees were also super friendly, including our server Avery! We will be back :)

Had an absolutely wonderful dining experience here. Everything was perfect from the atmosphere and service to the creative and masterfully prepared dishes and cocktails. It is evident that the staff are well trained and attentive and the head chef is a genius. I plan to come back here again for sure

Kinda irritated because I ordered a bourbon cocktail from their menu and specified the bourbon I wanted. The server came back and said that it was made with a better spirit than I ordered, and so I accepted it. It tasted super smoky and not good. It was only later that it occurred to me that it was made with Scotch, not even bourbon! I couldn't place that taste at the time, but peaty, smoky scotches stay with me for hours, so later I put it together. So in the end they served me a mistake, and that's just unacceptable. Also, I watched my oysters being plucked out of a jar. If you're going to have the kitchen area out in the open, maybe don't do that?

Food and drinks were amazing! Oysters were clean and shucked well. Only downside is there is a dozen oyster limit for happy hour but everything else was awesome! I got the silken tofu which was one of the best tofu dishes I’ve ever had. And the coffee drink with cherry and cold foam was like dessert in a cup. Sourdough was piping hot, stretchy and had a good bite.

Very, very good. Can serve as a pre-dinner snack and drink or as a full dinner. Mostly counter service. Anchovy toast and sourdough ice cream both stood out.

Wonderful food and service, very knowledgeable staff, incredible cocktails and drinks, excellent attention to detail, great location. Call ahead or reserve the one table - all other seating is at their bar.
Dietary restrictions: They accommodated one of our fellow guests'dietary restrictions very well.

Came here for my Dad's birthday. Fantastic atmosphere and even better food! The oysters were great but the clear favorite of the night was the anchovy toast! Zach delivered fantastic customer service during our time there. Looking forward to going back!

Our first visit, though we are big fans of its twin, Lost Letter, just down the street.
The somm has a fantastic wine list, and knowing him from LL we just did what we always do and trusted him. He had an off-menu half bottle of champagne that was really special (and a bargain at $50) but the special by-the-glass Chablis in the photo was even beyond that: minerals with a hint of tangerine peel, perfect with seafood, a great mix of tradition and surprise.
The food impressed us too: we had the massive gem salad (sprinkled with roe and lemon juice, but with an herb-laden ranch dressing). My main was the hamachi collar, with a sweet herbal sauce and enough meat to legitimately compare it to a 12oz. ribeye. I'll be getting that again.
GF had the bluefin dip with fresh potato chips--she thought champagne was the perfect pairing for it, and I agreed.
Go go go, trust the somm.

Excellent all around. Came for oysters and a cocktail, ended up getting more options cause it all looked so good. Wine list is expertly curated, cocktails are delicious, food was awesome. If you're in Richmond this is a can't miss.

Excellent experience all around. I recommend reservations because the seating is limited, but limited to the perfect level so that the service and food timing is perfect. The wine markups and curator are better than good. We shared probably 8 different things and everything was phenomenal. Definitely get at least two caviar sliders. I don’t believe that anyone that has given a bad review has actually been to this restaurant.

Good variety of oysters and a bunch of cool cocktails and drink options, the smoked fish dip with roe is incredible and the presentation of everything is ? Plus lots of really nice people working here. The seaweed horseradish for oysters is genius. Definitely worth a trip, especially if you love seafood, and for sure a good place to take someone you want to impress.

Came in for their Sunday happy hour special of $1 oysters and got to try some of their food too. To put it shortly, the food was amazing! The chef stations are right behind the bar so we got to see how much detail they put into each dish. The ingredients were fresh and the flavors go well together in each dish. We are coming back!
