This is a nice coffee shop that serves up some pretty good coffee. It is a nice interior with some relaxing seeding as well as some tables. They have some goods for sale like books, shirts and other unique gifts. Staff was very friendly and made a pretty good cappuccino.

Situated in Richmond’s increasingly trendy Scott’s Addition, Lineage Coffee impressed me from the moment I walked through the door. First came the unmistakable aroma of a great coffee shop, a subtle cue of good things ahead. Next, a warm and genuine greeting from the staff. And finally, the realization that everything was amazing. . When trying a new café, I always order a cappuccino. It’s the ultimate litmus test for me: the quality of the espresso, restraint with the milk, and whether it all comes together in a balanced, creamy harmony without anything overpowering the rest. Lineage absolutely nailed it. I also sampled the almond croissant, which was just as exceptional. Beautiful in its slightly reckless appearance, belying the perfectly flaky outer layers and a soft, sweet interior. Outstanding.
The ambiance was another highlight. The vibe is relaxed and inviting, a coffee shop that also sells books and a few thoughtfully chosen goods. The space is well laid out, with high ceilings that give it an open, airy feel. It’s industrial without being cold, and yes, there’s a couch. Why more coffee shops don’t include couches will always baffle me. Bravo!
For anyone unfamiliar, Richmond, VA is a haven for coffee lovers, with at least half a dozen exceptional shops and more seemingly opening all the time. Lineage has firmly earned its place on that list for me, and I’ll definitely be back.

Stopped in to check out the space and the seasonal maplewood latte is sooo good!! The whole place smells like a winter wonderland and it’s so warm and cozy in the afternoon. Def a must try!!!
