Wow. The fried chicken is incredible. But the sides, the sides steal the whole show. We got the candied yams, collards, potato salad and Mac and cheese. Each one as better than the next. 10/10 recommend. Mia was an awesome server. The vibe is very relaxed and welcoming. We will be back.

The yams were good, the cabbage might have been better if I had dined in and not had them to go (there was no flavor 🤔),it seemed like it was just steamed cabbage in, and the water wasn't seasoned. At this point, I could be wrong, and if so, GREAT is there only one distributor of fish? The fish I ordered here tasted exactly like the ones I get from the neighborhood chicken and fish spots?! Will I try Mama J's again, possibly in a sit down/dine in occasion. It could have been an off day.

The wait was way too long and the food was horrible!! The ribs smelled like rotting fish and the fries were cold. I absolutely do not recommend this restaurant!! I wasted my money, should have gone to Texas Roadhouse up the road. The 10 minute trip would have been worth it. I threw my food out from this place!!!

Chyna & Dana helped my friends & I when we visited the restaurant from out of town and they were so great. Chyna was so great at providing updates for such a long wait time. Dana was our waiter and he was extremely kind, attentive and quick which was nice after an almost 2 hour wait. Thank you guys so much for making our experience so nice!

DELICIOUS! The food is so good! I had fried Catfish (first time) and my husband had the fried pork chops. YUMMY!! The atmosphere is great! The team is great! The price is just right! Well worth it! I totally recommend it!
