I stopped by Manchu while visiting New Orleans, and it definitely lived up to the local hype. It’s a small, no-frills takeout spot, but the food is packed with flavor and the portions are huge.
I ordered their famous fried chicken wings with fried rice, and it was fantastic. The wings were crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and perfectly seasoned. The fried rice was simple but really satisfying and paired perfectly with the wings.
The place feels like a true neighborhood classic—quick service, affordable prices, and food that locals clearly love. If you’re in New Orleans and want something casual, filling, and iconic, Manchu is absolutely worth a stop.

I ordered the chicken wings, salad, and rice. Chicken was small but very well seasoned and good. Salad was ok but next time don't give me the hard white pieces of lettuce 😬 Rice with egg wasn't all that good. Rice Didn't taste fried at all. But I'll order again.

Mannnnnnnnnnn!!!! I can’t believe I never tried this place before. It was so good I couldn’t even take a picture. Absolutely loved the flavor and the options. I had the chopped cheese (Phili cheesesteak) w/ fries and mannnn that joint was so fire. Great flavors. Loved the sauce. Fries seasoned perfectly. I really enjoyed the meal w/ can soda (good options on drinks felt like a fire corner store). I then tried my homegirls fried wings w/ double rice and egg, flavors went crazyyyyyyy! You all know I’m going to be back because you can taste the loving in the food. If you thinking or trying it…DUHHH Order my options if you stuck word 2

Great customer service and the food is really good. Very popular and I see why. The establishment is clean and staff is so friendly they make you want to comeback. I ordered 100 pieces of chicken for an event during the holidays. Everyone was asking where did you order the chicken from. That's how good it was. If you're in the Northside area check them out.
