The place may be small but the food - sell your clothes, you're going to Heaven! Homemade biscuits smothered in turkey gravy, Belgian waffle with sizzling fried chicken - the menu reads like your Momma's in the back preparing for a Sunday family meal. That's just brunch! I'm looking forward to returning for dinner. The staff is warm and friendly and service with a smile. What are you waiting for? Get going!

Heads up: Long seating time, wrong order, 45 min to food came, hard to get help everyone's in their zone, felt like included 20% mandatory gratuity wasn't earned. Food was good but not filling.

Everything was great except the hostess wasn’t very inviting when we arrived. Then when we left the hostess didn’t say have a good evening or thanks for coming. Instead, they were busy on their phone.

Just celebrated my 45th birthday at MaryLou’s! We had a party of 19 and we had the best service. Our waitress Martina did an absolutely amazing job! We will definitely be back!

The food was decent the broccoli was hard but the vibe was nice they were a little slow but our Waitress was doing her best. They did apologize for the wait and gave us complimentary appetizers. It was our Anniversary I was excited to try we will try to come again not on a Saturday.

I had the rack of bbq ribs, broccoli, & mac & cheese. The food was good. Very cute, chic atmosphere… playing r&b. Our server was great! She was nice and very accommodating .

1st time here and everything was Amazing!! I had the pasta, crab dip, portobello and butter cake and of course drinks. Martika was very attentive to us and knowledgeable about the menus to give recommendations!

I came from n.c to visit my childhood friend i asked for the pork chops but unfortunately, they were out.
The server made another suggestion, which was wonderful.The turkey wings and mashed potatoes. Which was wonderful, a great selection.Look forward to coming back again.

After leaving the Richmond Folk Festival, decided to try somewhere I’d never been for dinner. MaryLou’s popped up on Google and we decided to visit. What a Treat!!! A soul food restaurant with great vibes and great food!!! The atmosphere is very nice. Laid back, friendly and ready to serve. You should make a stop by MaryLou’s, they also have a happy hour!!!!

Friend and I went for lunch. We arrived about 3:45 and we were seated immediately. Our waitress came out we ordered drinks. Drinks were decent 4/5. She brings the drinks out and starts out by saying "I apologize" but the cook is prepping for dinner so he will not be serving food at the moment but y'all are welcomed to wait. My mouth hit the floor because ONE where is that on the menu NOT LISTED. Two you waited until we were ready to order to tell us that. The waiter/waitress should've been prepared to tell customers that. Being that it is a new restaurant and you're trying to build GOOD service. I feel like you should make sure that you are doing just THAT. We did wait because at that point we had 2 drinks and really wanted to try the food. The food was 3.9/5 the food was good. The customer service would be my only reason for not going back.
