Great drinks and great food. I’ve been to this location and another location in NOVA and both were great. The atmosphere is great, very nicely designed restaurants. The menu and food is great too. A good selection of apps to share. They have a good happy hour also with drinks and food available for reasonable prices.

Two stars for the favor of the food. One star for our waiter. Deducting one star for the endless amount of flies and one star loss for the menu and prices. I brought My mom and Aunt for brunch after church on a Sunday. This was only my third time visiting the restaurant. My first visit a few years ago wasn't the best and I swore I would never come back. However, a friend of mine brought me to happy hour last week and the food and service was amazing, so I decided to give it another shot. We came on a Sunday for brunch and our waiter explained that the only option available was this new BrunchBox that involved a bunch of small plates. At $28 a person, the price was a little steep so we opted for the regular menu. We decided to split the crab and corn pizza, spinach and artichoke dip, and the crispy chicken sandwich. Besides the extensive menu, one of the first things we noticed were the flies. As others have mentioned, they were everywhere. We resorted to killing our own before the food came, but it seemed as soon as you killed one, more appeared. Based on the number of dead flies in the window sill, I'm guessing other guests have done the same. Once the food arrived, we were definitely pleased. Everything tasted amazing. The deviled egg spread on the chicken sandwich was great and the pizza had the perfect balance of gooey and saltiness. My issue with the prices beyond the brunch was the cost of the pizzas. The 10" crab and corn is $18 but the 14" with two additional slices is $10 more?! The pricing seemed off but the flavor was definitely there. I'm not sure why they don't allow you to order regular sized brunch items but I have feeling that at$28 per person, not too many will indulge and they'll be forced to go back to a normal brunch offering. I really want to like this place but the flies, both dead and alive, along with the limited brunch offering make it really difficult.

The arancini is a great app and they make great wood-fired brick oven pizzas!

The food was delicious and hot! Even though we were a big party we still had full drinks and full bellies. I had the chicken pesto pizza and the blue berry muffin french toast dessert and both were spectacular! Can't wait to come back here again!

It was our first time eating in Virginia at a restaurant we were on the go so we stopped at this restaurant meeting with some other family members. The food was really good it was my first time having brick oven pizza but the bathrooms were atrocious(Men's bathroom head to urinals one of them was completely filled with vomit and the ladies bathroom was so dirty both of my daughters and my wife refused to use it). The service was not that great... the server only came to our table once for a drink refill and was spending most of his time trying to hook up with one of the other employees behind the bar. I actually had to wave him down to come over to our table to refill the five drinks that were there empty... I understand eating out does come with a cost but our bill was almost $80 for one pizza 8 wings and 3 mini burgers as an appetizer and a couple of drinks so for that type of pricing you would expect impeccable service to compensate what you're not getting value-wise in your food.

Tried the Saturday brunch, good food, pizza was delicious, wife enjoyed the chicken and waffles, but even with a $10 off coupon we paid over $100 for three of us to eat? (No alcohol) Not something I'd do again.

I am a longtime Matchbox fan (10+ years of tasty pizzas and those onions! Mmmm) from the DC area, but hadn't visited the one in Short Pump. On a rainy and gloomy day around 2pm I pulled up with my parents in tow since we were meeting up in Richmond for the day as a family and it's a halfway point for both parties. Glad to get a space up close by the door in an almost empty lot, we dashed inside from the rain to a mostly empty restaurant. Bar empty, bar tables not even 1/3 full, several empty booths in view to our left, and many empty tables (couldn't see anyone) upstairs. And it's 2pm, I remind you. We walk in and I smile at the hostess, say hello and that it'll be just 3 of us. So imagine my surprise when I'm told the restaurant is full and we can sit at the bar. Uh, what? "Full or closed?" I asked. "Full....we have reservations all afternoon." "Ok....?" They told us we could have a seat at the bar or the patio. Which is all high top stools. And by the wayC the patio is not covered and it's raining.... ?? Not super ideal for my retired age parents to sit on backless stools for a long lunch where we're going to be catching up. The bartender is cleaning a low bar table and chairs for 6, but it's the only thing with backs on the seats so I kindly ask if we can have that, does it count as "bar seating". Oddly, he doesn't know. But, he did go to the same hostess and she okayed it. Thanks bar friend! So now I'm at a table of 6 with a party of 3 while a load of 4 person booths remain empty... the entire time we're there. Do you always keep reservations for no shows? Or you just didn't want to be bothered with customers this day. Service was generally good, but drink refills and silverware were only if we flagged down and asked. Really grateful my local Matchboxes in the DC area are run better than this.

Good food. Good service. Salads were fresh. Chicken was cooked well. Not super fast so make sure you have time.

$14 for a paper thin pizza that was burnt by the fire and is soggy before you can finish it. Waitress was great until she disappeared after the food came out. My wife's burger looked amazing but didn't taste that way, her fries were really good though.

It was eh. Server was very attentative but this restaurant isn't for everyone. Ambiance is nice but the food is basic. Menu is minimal and a bit pricey , but again, this is somewhere that has a specific purpose to someone looking for a specific food idea. Bathroom is clean, however it's a clastrophobic person's nightmare. This is a one and done for my wife and I.
