Went for lunch. As a vegetarian I’m always appreciative of veg options. The braised kale tasted just like the kind with bacon. So good. They put smoked onions in it and the broth was on point. Also got the Nashville fried tofu sandwich which was legit. Great atmosphere as well.

Love this place. Great vibes, drinks, and food. The whiskey is the obvious draw. I'll go here to try something I can't get or before I buy a bottle. The food is also impressive. It's far beyond standard bar food without being stuffy or unapproachable.Lastly, the staff are great if you're a reasonable person and don't come in asking them to make you a cosmopolitan.

We stopped in after Shamrock the block after following the delicious smells from outside. The interior is very warm and clean. Ryan (and Bryan) were very knowledgeable and attentive to what we liked and didn’t like and gave fantastic suggestions. I appreciated the diversity in their drink selection. I forgot to grab a photo of our drinks. We had the Angels Envy Rum Cask Rye and the Lagavulin 11 year burnt oak cask Nick Offerman collab. The food is killer! They were out of the dates but the shrimp and grits were delicious. The chorizo meatloaf was divine as well.

Wow, totally wow. The Barrel Proof Wellers Whiskey was unreal, best whiskey I’ve ever had. Daniel is not a bartender he is a connoisseur of spirits unlike any other. Must try the smoked Duck breast, you’ve never ever had Duck until you’ve had it here. Definitely an absolute Richmond gem.

Delightful atmosphere for a whiskey bar. Servers and bartenders were as knowledgeable as they were diligent. Food is among my favorite in Richmond. Particularly fond of the cast iron ribeye. No need to beat around the bush, McCormack’s simply rocks.

One of my favorite restaurants in Richmond, hands down. Very friendly and knowledgeable service. The ribs and barbecue in general are incredible. Cool Americana atmosphere which makes for a great low key spot to hang.

We only go there for the bourbon. Bartenders are very knowledgeable. If you're a bourbon drinker, this is the place for you.

McCormack's is my favorite bar in Richmond. Large selection of quality whiskey, extremely knowledgeable bartenders, plus great southern food and BBQ, makes for a great experience. A relaxed, mature atmosphere.Parking: There's a free parking lot in the back, behind some apartments.

While the food was really good, I did not enjoy the no hats on men policy or the overall vibe. Based on past reviews as well, it seems that it’s unwelcoming. :( I was disappointed.

I'm a fan of everything else about this place, but their BBQ. The brisket was dry. I think it was yesterday's, and they just added juice to compensate. The wings were just smokey and dry, not flavorful. The steak? Take a look at my photo. Steakhouse quality at a small bar. Quaint, cozy atmosphere. The bartenders are my favorite. They are professional and knowledgeable, social.. just seem like great guys. One of the best old fashions and whiskey sours I've ever had. Great drinks at McCormacks!Parking: Not sure if they order their own parking. Parking on the street is limited at certain times of the day. If you are fortunate enough to be able to park across the street, wherever else you park, the walk is worth it!
