Even though this is a large restaurant, Mekong can get very busy. You're better off for lunch than dinner if you want to get in quickly without a wait. The food is very good, and it's efficiently run; it also has a very large menu of authentic Vietnamese food. Appetizers are full-sized dishes. It's worth the experience.

Restaurant building and interior was ok but Very Over staffed. 1 extremely bored person at entry to seat you. It felt like we (3) woke him up! After seated, a woman hurried up for place setting and water. Bartender continued to watch tv. Lazily a waiter came to get our initial order but must admit he perked up later since more customers were arriving. Our Pho came with 2 squeezgee bottles of sauces and only 1 small plate of shoots 2 lime wedges and 2 lime leafs?? Pho broth was so weak I thought I just bought a packaged rice Ramen from the supermarket and then added extra water!! It took us awhile to get the attention of the waiter for containers "to go" and the check but the elder water lady was very attentive with her water distribution. When trying to pay we were told to pay at the front, meaning we had to wake up the front person again. Not at all an experience I will ever repeat!

One of the best Vietnamese restaurants anywhere. We’ve have dined here numerous times in the past but Richmond wasn’t in our travel plans for several years. Yesterday, we had lunch at Mekong and the regret in not living in the area returned. This is simply a great restuarant for two things - the food and the beer. We’ve never failed to have a great meal. The menu is very large and very difficult to make choices from. Everything is appealing. They also offer a huge beer selection with many, many names not seen elsewhere. The service is very nice. Thus us a place for foodies. The atmosphere is quite plain but again, it’s all about the food.

Years and years coming here and it's still one of my favorites! My parents love making their spring rolls before a meal, but hate the get stuffed and can't eat their own orders after!! Different seasons carry seasonal drinks, but there's always some beers and wines you can get that will pair well with your foods. This time I got a pumpkin beer and it was delicious. It is still my go-to for the best bowl of pho bar none. If you're wanting to go and get Vietnamese food, this is the place!

Mekong has the BEST Vietnamese food I have eaten on the East Coast!!! The Pho Ga was sublime, and for the first time I ate a crispy roll inside a soft roll,l! Awesome! If youre in Richmond check it out!!!

The menu has a really great variety of dishes and I love trying new things each time I go. I will definitely keep coming back!
