My boyfriend and I just left and didn’t even get any food or drinks... we visited on 2/29/2020 at 11:15pm and we were not even acknowledged at all. We even left after getting no help and no one said anything. I’m very disappointed and felt invisible almost. Don’t want to make it a race thing but it felt like it because the crew working never even spoke or asked what we needed. The last time we came here the staff was very fun but that was probably my last time ever going there. Drinks are good though I guess :(

The food is absolutely amazing and the workers are very friendly! I know that many people only review restaurants when they are mad about slow service or some other minor issue, but this place is one of the few restaurants that really blew my mind in terms of food quality/taste/menu options. I’ll be satisfied and say the food is “good” at many restaurants but my first meal here included a few things that were the “best I’ve ever had,” including the collard greens.

After ordering, it took almost half an hour to get my food. Then, leaving my table to stand at the bar and get the server's attention, she refused to acknowledge me at all, even after she saw me standing and waiting. If you're bad at service, don't work in the service industry.
Great people, very comfortable especially as a introvert. it's my favorite bar.

I had been at a Classical RVA concert with a friend and we were looking for a place we hadn't dined at before and was open late on a Sunday night. A Google search lead us to Metro Bar and Grill. What a great find! A great experience! The food was amazing and unexpected. Flavor combinations leaving us wanting more. Pub food elevated to the art of good eating.

I went there on a Thursday, Karaoke night, place was packed and great atmosphere. Bar tender was great, but understandably service was a little slow since they only had 2 bartenders and were so busy. I would definitely go again.
