Michaela's Quality Bake Shop

Was headed to a birthday picnic and asked to pick up cake slices and cupcakes.

Decided to stop at this local neighborhood business for the first time to support a local entrepreneur.

The selection was great, and the server was very helpful.

It was a great retail experience until I asked for plastic forks to take with me to the picnic. The forks were prominently displayed.

The server gladly handed them to me, until the owner protested and insisted I did not need forks for the cupcakes, but only the slices of cake.

After spending almost $40 on desserts, I was made to feel bad for requesting $.32 worth of plastic so that my friends could eat their cupcakes without getting icing all over their face.

This is not a good recipe for repeat customers.

While the cake and cupcakes were lovely, a retail experience has to leave everyone feeling good. Certainly not the result in this case.

Little Chocolate pies and thalheimers cakes have always been my favorite. But just had a chocolate chip cookie and their CCC game has stepped up! They are amazing.

Beautiful cake for our daughter’s third birthday party and made her so happy. Also tasted delicious! Ordering was simple, and I love being able to support a neighborhood business. Highly recommend Michaela’s Bake Shop for anyone’s cake needs!

I have been on the hunt for GOOD plain New York cheesecake since Carnegie Deli in NYC and their sister restaurant in VB both closed. I was devastated- I have not found anything remotely as delicious, but WOW I took my first bite of cheesecake from this bake shop and LEMME TELL YOU WHAT, I have officially found the best cheesecake in RVA, at least according to my own personal taste buds. It is thick and creamy and filling and tastes like real NY cheesecake. I’m stoked they are a 1min drive from my house and I will absolutely be frequenting this shop. The staff was friendly and the service was very efficient!! So glad I stopped in vs going to a big name grocery store

I bought a slice of carrot, German chocolate and yellow cake with chocolate icing. I was so disappointed because the cake was dry.

I called to ask a question the lady was extremely rude wow I highly recommend any other local bake shop I’ve had a cake from here before and it’s okay at best so why be extremely mean and have mid cake do yourself a favor and go somewhere else

Just had a piece of your strawberry cake from the Oyster's Pearl here at Rockit Sports Gym. OMG!!! IT WAS SO DELICIOUS! It was way too much for me to eat in one setting.....but I did ? ? ?. Worth every penny. Good quality, moist, made like Grandma did it. Thank you for making my day!

Our local produce stand, Pole Green Produce, has been carrying an assortment of cake slices made by Michaela's Quality Bake Shop. These cake slices are delicious! We have had the coconut, strawberry, coconut pineapple, carrot, chocolate, lemon, and strawberry lemon cake flavors. If you are at Pole Green Produce and have a sweet tooth go ahead and pick up a slice of cake. Keep in mind these cake slices go quickly and may be sold out upon your visit.
