My preferred scene for quality Mexican food. got there about two, it was not packed. the service was very helpful and observant. the bill was good for how much you get. they have a lot of great reviews for a reason.

I visited because the reviews online said there were good happy hour deals, which lasted all the way until 8. The place was pretty weird. You can only get the happy hour menu if you physically sit at the bar and they charge $2 if you make an order to go. The happy hour drink deals are decent ($6 margaritas and mojitos), but the food deals aren't very good. On the happy hour menu, you can get $3 tacos but it doesn't include any of the vegetarian tacos. I got the vegetable fajitas and paid $16 for rice and beans and a pile of roasted vegetables. The staff seemed like they didn't want to be there or represent management's weird rules. I paid $30 including tip for 1 drink and 1 meal during happy hour. I felt like I was being nickeled and dimed and won't be back. The decoration was cool though.

Awesome food! We were there a little early, service was great! Best Chile Rellenos we've had in a long time! The chorizo was excellent, and the fried pork belly was perfect.

Mexican isn't my favorite but I've now been here for drinks and for lunch and I like this place. Their palomas are yummy (I found the margarita to have a bit too much sour mix for my taste). I like their queso and the ropa viejas was delicious. I'll be back.

This was my first time visiting Mijas Cantina. Arrived a little after noon on Thursday, and it was not crowded. The bartender/hostess seated us immediately. She took our orders and got our drinks just as quickly. After that, the service was slow. The orders came out correctly, and the food was just okay. It was bland and forgettable. The chips and salsa were the best part, as the salsa had flavor and packed a decent punch. I don't have any negative comments to make other than to say that I feel indifferent about my experience: wasn't great, wasn't terrible.

Awesome food. I only wish that they were also open for breakfast!

Happy hour margaritas to die for, fab food, lovely bar, incredibly friendly and professional barman. You’ll probably not need a hotel you’ll be so comfortable here.

First visit, wasn’t sure since you open front door to a stairway. Once you turn and descend you’re immediately received by a happy staff in a nicely decorated restaurant. Food delicious and plentiful. Above picture at top of stairs.
