I can’t say the food wasn’t great because it was… great food! The place as a whole is just unwelcoming, maybe understaffed but the mood is just horrible. I watched the manager turn away 10 customers due to no availability when there were 5 tables sitting there available… un-bussed, just sitting there dirty from the party that had left them an hour before… don’t recommend!

Server who was also the host and bartender on a Monday afternoon was great. He held it down. The grilled chicken sandwich was awesome. Flavorful. Fries were crispy. The price was reasonable like other restaurants with chicken sandwiches. Definitely not over priced.

Excellent food and experience. The atmosphere was relaxed and service of food was prompt. They do have a bar area if one is interested. My friend and I went for brunch and had Mimosas (no picture), Pork Carnitas Hash (no picture), Biscuits and Gravy (1st picture) and Shrimp and Grits (2nd picture). Everything was absolutely delicious. Definitely will be back in the future.
NOTE: Parking can be tricky in this area, so it's a good idea to arrive early. Be sure to check if there are any events at the nearby Convention Center on the day of your visit, as we encountered limited parking due to a large event happening at the time. All surrounding lots were full.

The quality of the steak was great, but the seasoning was lacking, and the doneness was not right. Service was slow, and they weren't really busy. The cocktails were kind of weak, slow to be served. Overall disappointing. No where near our previous visit.

This place is a jewel in the middle of Downtown Richmond. The service was so great, everyone is make sure you’re having a good time. The drinks… nothing short of fabulous. Bao buns are amazing, must have!!! The ribeye was perfectly cooked and the charred flavors are perfectly balanced. Finally, the sweet potato maple cheesecake… it should be sold in whole to go, this is incredible!
ML Steak is a must-go place in Richmond.

We are Steakhouse fans! And, ML did NOT disappoint! The trout appetizer, and, smoked pork BAO buns, with martini's and scofflaw's were just the right delicious openings!!! Followed by lamb chops, and a fantastic Ribeye, excellent sides, and a wine list that impresses!!! We had a jammy Zinfandel. Dessert is a MUST! Service was timed perfectly, and the room was worthy of the fine food and service!!!

Overall my favorite dish were the mussels . The sauce for it 🤤 . The steak didn’t taste seasoned at all but , it was cooked correctly. The mash potatoes taste like boxed or should I say you can make them at home. The crab cakes didn’t jumo out either . I’ve just had better they were bland as well. Drinks over priced . The menu is overpriced for the bland tasting food.

So on a rainy Sunday evening my colleague and I walked in and were greeted by the person at the front desk who immediately asked if we had reservations, which we did not. He said okay I only have seats at the bar and we said that was fine. Before we even got to the bar I noticed that there were about eight tables that were empty. We were served by the bartender but as soon as he figured out we were not drinking any alcohol, he never offered refills for our water or anything else. As we ate, I continue to notice that some people were seated at those Empty Tables but there were the same amount of Empty Tables open the whole time that we were there. I'm not sure why we were not offered a table, because we did not look like we were homeless or anything like that. On the menu, I noticed 20% tip was automatically added to your check. I can tell you that was nowhere near the type of service that we received.

Sorry guys. Dropped the ball BIG TIME tonight. Ordered ribeyes medium rare and was given strip steaks medium well AFTER an insane wait in a restaurant half full. Sent back a steak. Served a rare ribeye that time. Still not right. Finally the bill…….added the extra steak and messed up cocktail then did credit them…..fine……. BUT added 20% gratuity on the full bill BEFORE the discount resulting in an extra $14 tip for the server for his mistake. Also, didn’t appreciate the server trying to con me and say was only charging me for strip steaks instead of ribeyes to save me $10 each. THEY WERE STRIP STEAKS!!! He messed up the order. Very disappointed this Fathers Day.
