This place went downhill a good while back. They had a great crab imperial but the last 2 times I bought it, it had an ammonia taste and smell.
I have been to PT Hastings for oysters, shrimp, and soft shelled crabs. Staff has been friendly and helpful, seafood has been fresh. I'll be back for more oysters.
Not as appeasing as it once was. All of the fish seemed to be thawed from frozen.
I have been buying seafood (particularly crabmeat) from Hastings for years. The quality is consistently excellent, and the service is always friendly.
Poor seafood which is often spoiled! Just look at the container in which the scallops are displayed. It’s green. Surprised it hasn’t been shut down by the health department.
Great spot to get seafood. We always get our oysters for holidays from P.THastings.

There was so many shells in those 3 Crab Cakes I had during the Christmas holiday to the point if it being dangerous. Every bite had shells. This needs to be reported to the health department!

Owner quite friendly, however the lady is not the reason I will Not be back....sorry. If you enjoy SPOILED SEAFOOD, SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE!!!!!!

I have been going here for 20 years and today will be my last. I purchased a pound of crabmeat and 2 lbs of steamed shrimp. Started making crabcakes and the crabmeat wasn't right.
I have been going to PT Hastings over 30 years but they have lost my business for good today. Yesterday I bought snapper and large uncooked shrimp for dinner with friends. They both were bad and I returned them this morning. The woman behind the counter did NOT apologize. She refunded my money and said “Thank you very much and have a nice day” in a slightly sarcastic voice. To have one item be rotten may have been ok with an apology and refund but to have TWO items that were bad with NO APOLOGY is a sign they don’t care about their customers or the quality of their product. Take your business elsewhere!
Great seafood place, always delicious. This time the tuna steaks were bad we had to throw them out. Scallops were perfect
Unfortunately my first experience was not a good one. Crabs were incredibly poor, to the point I wouldn’t have sold them.
