Can’t say we’ll be back. Went for Valentines Day lunch. Wife’s steak was undercooked TWICE and finally right the third time. Veggies pretty much raw. Cheesecake the size of my thumb. Not worth $200

What an amazing experience from start to finish. The service was impeccable..our waitress even came by with a little silver crumb rake and got the crumbs off of our table when we got a little too messy with the bread. 🙂 She was super sweet and knowledgeable about the menu . The food , the meat and those porkchops are some of the best I've ever had. We had the Perry's Smorsgabord for Four !! What a culinary delight of flavors. Our dinner was topped off with a divine chocolate crunch tower . I want to say thank you for making our dinner experience to celebrate our many years of friendship an absolutely delightful and unforgettable dining experience.

My friend raved about this restaurant, so I was excited to give it a try. Unfortunately, I did not enjoy my experience at all ?. I didn't feel that Perry's employees were very welcoming. My first instinct was to leave and go somewhere else (always listen to your intuition)!

My tepid salmon was average at best...actually it was below average. Also, lots flies (it wasn't fun swatting gnats & flies while dining inside) were buzzing around ?...

I wasn't impressed at all -- was my first and last visit. It's a big NO for me. I didn't like it at all.

Last night, we celebrated our anniversary with our first dinner here. The atmosphere was both fancy and comfortable. The hostess at the front desk was incredibly sweet and complimented our attire. Our table was beautifully prepared with rose petals to mark the occasion. Our waitress, Abby, was very attentive and friendly, providing insightful recommendations and helping us choose the perfect drinks. We were even greeted by Assistant General Manager Kristin. Every dish, from the appetizers to the complimentary dessert, was delicious. We can’t wait to return for more wagyu and try the Jubilee cake Abby raved about!

The appetizers (spinach dip, stuffed mushrooms, bacon wrapped shrimp, pork skewers, and charbroiled oysters)we received were not hot and tasted okay. Our main course meals came out hot and we had no complaints very delicious. My thyme lemon drop was very delicious also. Our waitress was okay seem to be a little irritable and continued to try to reach across instead of going around the table which I thought was rude but I expected better for such an elegant atmosphere

The maitre d' was very attentive.
The server was not familiar with the menu and could not or did not offer recommendations. She actually said " I just work here, so I don't get to try the items on the menu".
At one point, my husband had to go in search of her because we were ready for the next course.

We reserved for a table of 9 but more of our family decided to come out for dinner. I'm shocked because they weren't able to accommodate on a Monday night 11/4/24. Half of the family decided to leave because we couldn't sit all together! They could have tried much harder to make it happen, but they seemingly didn't even care to. We won't be back! Also, the sea bass is gross, not worth $49 ? make sure you have the correct head count or you'll be in our same position ? save your money, and just cook!

Have eaten in steakhouses all over the country and was fairly disappointed when I tried Perry’s in Short Pump, as were my dining companions.

Ordered an expensive bottle of wine and then spent the night killing, waving away, and scooping out gnats from the glasses! We re-corked the bottle as soon as we noticed the problem, but even getting new glasses and cocktail napkins to put over them was not only ineffective, but super annoying (and we were NOT dining outside.

Appetizers-fried lobster was a little tough but good, wedge salad had too much dressing so the end of it was a wet mess.

We did not finish our ribeyes, which is my go-to steak. Although we ordered the top quality 14 oz, they looked very different from each other and as soon as you cut in they were fairly tough (for a $65 ribeye). The potatoes in the au gratin potatoes were not cooked to an acceptable consistency, and the crab Mac and cheese was very salty and another huge disappointment. Desserts were ok (we were not full because non of us finished anything we were served except six bites of lobster).

We don’t complain as a general rule and usually just feel grateful we can afford to do things like this from time to time, but we agreed it was a pretty disappointing meal. Our final bill for three people was $365 (included the bottle of wine and one cocktail) and one of us did not get an entree. We tipped $70. Doubt we will return even though we live quite close. We spoke to our server and after the fifth wine bug the manager came over and offered a free glass of wine. We laughed on the way out because that ended up having bugs in it from the time it was poured until it reached us and my sister walked away leaving wine in a glass! Sorry, Perry’s. We really wanted to love you. PS-fairly noisy atmosphere and a surprising number of small children.

Nice setting, but loud. My Caesar salad was swimming in dressing, and my husband's lobster bisque was tasty but barely lukewarm. The whipped potatoes were also cold. The filet was well cooked and delicious. The worst part were the small flies buzzing around the table (we were inside) .One landed in my wine. The waitress replaced the glass with a new glass, but in the meantime, another bug had landed in my husband's wine. I'm not sure I will return.

Unpopular opinion…Richmond does not know how to do fine dining. I’ll say this , not the waitress fault, it starts from the top. I’ll admit my mistake, we missed our original reservation at 5:45 and got bumped to 8:15. Celebrating my mom’s 71st birthday and we were sat in the bar area at high tops. Service and atmosphere was awful. I literally had to ask for things 2-3 times and STILL didn’t get it. Should have known better. Bars are for drinks and quick bites but my mom wanted to dine here for her special day. Real upscale places don’t have big bar and patio areas as that’s not the vibe. I vented to the on duty manager (I won’t say her name )but she did nothing, oh I’ll call you Monday, lady too late experience ruined. I’ve eaten here before in the dining room and service was top notch. I even went to the bar to ask for something and was initially ignored and still not properly serviced. Wasted $400 and could have went down the street for better service. AGAIN not the waitress fault, it starts from management. I see why Richmond has no Morton’s or Del Friscos, they DO NOT know real upscale fine dining. I give this place another 3-4 years top. The novelty has worn out for me and gig is up. Take a class on what it means to be a five star establishment . Cause I had down birthday celebration and your front of the house staff should have said the bar is not best suited for this engagement. Don’t be afraid to be honest and turn people away. Very disappointed. Manager going to say when you come again.. call me….LADY why would I come back and waste more money?? It takes one time for me to have bad service and food. Short Pump is over hyped because these places trying to feed off the area like the people will just come. Not true!
