Best Chinese food in Richmond! I’ve been going to Peter Changs for years on years and I’ve loved every visit! Such a wide range of flavors, and much more authentic options than your average Chinese place. The hot and soup is so delicious, and I also love the Szechuan fish, pork with garlic sauce, mapo tofu, and basil eggplant! Can’t wait to keep trying more and more dishes
I love the place and very nice people.
Only giving 4 stars because of the location and little to no parking.
Came for lunch on a Friday. I had Madison as a server and she was amazing. She had like 7 tables and was in control. I got the chicken in Szechuan spicy numbing sauce. It was delicious and as numbing as advertised. Fantastic lunch!
Such good food, and a cool place to eat but the service is beyond superb. Madisen was the best server ever. So glad we stopped in and will definitely be returning.
I've been getting takeout from Peter Chang's at the Broad Street location for close to probably a decade now. It' sad to say - but the quality of the food has gone done substantially since they first opened. While I do get that some night are more hit than miss, we've been consistently disappointed each time we've ordered the same simple dishes - shrimp lomein, beef lomein, spring rolls and cilantro fish rolls. We'll order from them on Friday nights, expecting that the quality will be higher since it's a higher volume evening- but no luck.
It also really sucks that they used to offer add-ins for their dishes at an upcharge - but now - they only offer the most basic versions of their dishes. We used to really enjoy getting garlic, snowpeas, bell peppers and mushrooms mixed into our lo mein, but they removed all the options to do that online now - so we're sort of just left with a mediocre and boring dish.
We're going to try out some new places going forward, but I really do hope that they can turn things around. It was a great restaurant when it first opened - just sad to see them delivery greasy, overcooked and bland food, now.
It's just not good anymore. The quality and flavors have changed in recent years. I'm so disappointed again. I keep going back, hoping. I've been going here for years, and a few years ago the entire culture of the establishment changed. The food isn't good, and service is lackluster. The spring tastes like frozen spring rolls,
I ordered on uber eats. I asked for utensils and ate with my fingers. I ordered spicy level 1, not even a little bit spicy. I like that it wasn’t all covered in gelatin but it was soggy and flavor wasn’t awesome. Potstickers were spicy (with sauce) but also soggy.
The dry-fried broccoli is incredible. Very nice service as well
The BEST Asian food we have found on the east coast.

The service was impeccable, and the dishes were filled with delicious flavors. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I would like to express my appreciation for your excellent service.
Good god this is literally the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had in my life. Chicken is soggy and bland fried rice has no flavor. The sesame chicken isn’t even breaded.
Delicious dinner but I’m really here to give our server Madison a shout out. She made our dinner that much better with her thoughtful recommendations. Everything she suggested was delicious and the five vegetarian dishes complemented each other perfectly. Thanks Madison!
Great food and service. Came with a group of about 7 people and we ordered 6 entrees. Our favorites were the szechuan fish & double cooked pork belly. Overall, the food quality and quantity were excellent. I can't speak on the authenticity of the cuisine even though my last name might communicate that I am Chinese. Whether the food is authentic or not, it was still very tasty!
Service was excellent and the food came out in a very timely manner. Overall, the restaurant was clean, bathrooms as well, and fine atmosphere. Parking is a little sparse. There is street parking in front of the restaurant as well as on adjacent streets nearby. Price is reasonable, most dishes are about $15-25 each.
decorations is stunning, food is fine.
