Great Chinese food... Try to visit whenever we are passing by the area... The Bamboo Fish is to die for... They serve great noodles, fried rice and a variety of chicken dishes too... Personally like the Kung Pao Chicken... Very quick and efficient service is a characteristic too!

I find it hard to find any spicy dish at restaurants that are actually spicy, there was no such problem here. The food was absolutely incredible, would absolutely come here again, I would give this more stars if I could!

Great place to go on a date night. The staff is always attentive and accommodating even when it gets busy. If I am ever around Scott's Addition with friends I like to stop by the bar to get drinks and their steamed pork dumplings. I highly recommend this place for all occasions.

This has become one of my go-to spots in Scott’s Addition. The food is just unbeatable. Every dish feels fresh, flavorful, and full of personality. The dry-fried eggplant is addictive and always a must!! The hot and numbing beef has the perfect balance of heat and flavor.
The staff are kind and efficient, even when the place is packed, and the kitchen never misses. You can tell everything is made with care. It’s the kind of restaurant you bring friends to when you want to impress them or grab takeout when you need something comforting.
It’s hard to find food this consistently good, and somehow it gets better every time I go. Richmond’s got plenty of great eats, but Peter Chang’s will always be in my top favorites. I travel from Midlothian just to get Changs because it’s that solid

Food isn't bad, but the Fredericksburg location was so much better. Too bad Fredericksburg closed

Got the beef chow fun and kung pao tofu. It was pretty bland. The dishes were fine, just not worth it.

Food is so good. My coworker and I go there time to time for lunch. Lunch menu is great and the price is great. Good portion of food for the money

Fabulous Chinese food. Real ingredients prepared by a chef. Real spice where it should be.

The moment we settled in, the cozy ambiance and warm lighting set a pleasant tone—nothing flashy, just a relaxed space where the food quietly made its mark. Service was friendly and efficient, and dishes arrived at a thoughtful pace so each flavor had its moment.
The food itself was consistently excellent—thoughtfully seasoned, flavorful, and properly spiced without overwhelming heat. Portion sizes were generous enough to satisfy, making it feel like great value and effort on every plate.
What We Ate:
* Fried broccoli — 4/5
* Vegetable spring rolls — 4/5
* Kung Pao chicken buns — 4/5
* Crispy spicy chicken — 4/5
* Chicken with pepper and garlic — 4/5
Each selection was solid and dependable: crisp textures, bold but balanced flavors, and just the right amount of spice. The Kung Pao buns and crispy spicy chicken especially stood out for mixing crunch and savory spice perfectly.
If you're in the mood for Chinese food that delivers on flavor, portion size, and a comforting yet unobtrusive atmosphere, this is definitely worth checking out.

This Peter Chang location is always good. Restaurant isn't usually super packed, so you get seated quickly and service has never been slow.
Me and my party normally get an order of the scallion bubble pancake and the golden mountain chicken with fried rice. When the food comes out its always fresh and never dry.
Restaurant is always clean and not too warm.
My biggest complaint would be the location. This location is located right in inner city RVA and if it is a busy day or a weekend parking can be a tad difficult.
